Sweet Isabel
Enrique Iglesias Lyrics

Like tears from her eyes
There's no see me calling
The pain you felt inside
And I know you're feeling like you should run away, run away
And I know you're wandering, oh why you should stay, why you should stay
Sweet, sweet Isabel
Just believe it won't be alright
Sweet sweet Isabel
No you don't have to leave tonight
You feel that change is coming
But you were so afraid inside
I know your heart's been broken
Oh wait too many times
And I know you're feeling like you should run away, run away
[Chorus]
(You don't have to leave tonight)
You don't have to leave tonight
You don't have to leave tonight
You don't have to leave tonight
No you don't
[Chorus]
The autumn leaves are falling
Like tears from her eyes
There's no see me calling
The pain you felt inside
In Enrique Iglesias's song "Sweet Isabel," the singer tells a story of a woman named Isabel who is going through a difficult phase in her life. The lyrics describe the falling of autumn leaves as a metaphor for the tears that Isabel sheds as she deals with her pain. The lines "There's no see me calling" suggest that Isabel is retreating into herself and refusing to reach out to others, even though they may be willing to help her.
The chorus offers some comfort to Isabel, with the singer urging her to stay and assuring her that things will be alright. The repetition of "sweet, sweet Isabel" emphasizes the empathy and sympathy that the singer feels for Isabel. The lyrics suggest that Isabel is afraid of change and has been let down by others in the past, causing her to retreat into herself. However, the singer encourages her not to give up and leave, but to stay and find comfort in her surroundings.
Overall, "Sweet Isabel" is a song about empathy, encouragement, and understanding, as the singer offers his support to someone who is struggling. It highlights the importance of reaching out to others and not retreating into oneself, even in difficult times.
