PURE GOLD!
Only recording by Ernie I was familiar with is TALK BACK
TREMBLING LIPS, and I always preferred Johnny Tillotson's version.
Ernie sounds MUCH
better to me on this
ballad! Never realized
he had such a beautiful voice. His
voice has too much
nasally "twang" for
the non-hardcore country music lover,
but his voice is undeniably heart-stirring and gorgeous.(This gem
should have been recorded by David
Rogers, Bobby Lewis,
Webb Pierce, Jean Shepard, and a host of others.
Thanks, Bianca!
