One thing I find fascinating about Touhou, is how the characters change in the perception of the fans, when a new game comes out, the art of the character more matches their in-game art, but as time goes on, some of the fan art of the character’s change. Yukari, for example was aged up physically as it matched her scheming personality and old-fashioned mannerisms, but characters like the Scarlet sisters and Clownpiece stay children physically due to the fact that they are more childish in their characterizations. It’s due to this that the character gains their own personality within that fandom, and I think that’s marvelous.

I don't know why, but this song evocates really profound feelings inside of me. It may just be the nostalgia, of remembering the days of childlike wonder, discovering all of the characters and music and lore. It may be the music itself, ZUN's compositions always have a certain feel to them that are just... mystic. They truly make me feel like I'm in a land of wonder. No other music, not even the OSTs popular for doing that like Nier Automata's or Hollow Knight's do that for me. Which is odd, considering how much more melodic touhou music is. Very rarely do you encounter ambiental aspects in it, and if you do, they also very rarely last the whole song. Whatever the reason might be... I'll always be grateful to Touhou. It's a series very very dear to me. I think the music and the characters will always stick with me.

One day, I want to be a game developer. One day, I wish to make a game that makes others feel like what touhou makes me feel. I have a lifetime of opportunities to manage it, so even if right now it seems insurmountable, I'm going to do it. I swear to god, one day I'm going to do it. Whatever it is that this music makes me feel, I hope that one day I can make someone else feel something similar, because it's a very beautiful feeling.

I could see why. Yukari's final spellcard, as told by Marisa, is one of the most complex spellcards in existence, and works the opposite way as one would expect danmaku to do. It's understandable, since Yukari combined two opposite elements of danmaku to create it. "Danmaku isn't made for an actual battle, but Yukari probably took the border between a danmaku for play and a danmaku for battle to create this barrier. That is the danmaku barrier." She is OP.

I just finished reading "Yukari vs Ran" by Tohonifun. It was quite a nice (fan-made) backstory on Yukari's past, detailing her childhood, the Youkai invasion on the Lunar Capital, Layla Prismriver, the beginning of Scarlet Devil Mansion, and how Ran became a Shikigami. It makes me like this song more. This is also the 2nd or 3rd Touhou song I ever heard, so listening to it always feels nostalgic.

Her theme song is legendary in every remix even if it's official or fanmade.

i've already tried all of them, and it's none of them. there was no vocals but i still felt that it was the most epic necrofantasia i'd ever heard. It's like a light rock version, that starts with a piano intro(not the necrofantasia intro, completely original intro) then breaks into an electric guitar, and starts playing Necrofantasia. Of all songs that make me imagine/act out fight scenes, this one was the most epic. And don you DARE tell me I'm crazy for acting out fight scenes all the time; I just like fighting and acting, and I find epic music an inspiration. HMPH!

They're mostly top-down "danmaku" shooters (which, when roughly translated from Japanese, means "metric fuckton of bullets"). In total there are 19 games (with one more in the works right now); 13 are main-series danmaku shooters, and the other 6 are either fighting games or just more danmaku shooters. Touhou is known for its gigantic almost-entirely-female cast of characters, crushing difficulty, and amazing music. Among other stuff.

Y'know, Its kinda funny how different this is from Necrofantasy. With Necrofantasy, the powerful part has to be built up, much like how Ran, despite her power, isn't instantly imposing. But with Necrofantasia, it starts off screaming at you. As if saying, "You're up against the strongest youkai in Gensoukyo. Your grazing skills better be on point if you want to survive her onslaught."
