Circle
Evael Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Footprints from where I ran away
Gave sake enough to feel alone
I wandered lorn acres for days
Unable to find my way back home
Fleeting dreams light my path
That long for the warmth of skin again
Though my bones may split, my spirit break
I endure - the circle remains

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Evael's song Circle depict a sense of isolation and loneliness. The opening line "Footprints from where I ran away" conveys the idea of the singer trying to escape from something, perhaps a difficult situation or relationship, but ultimately feeling more alone than before. The second line, "Gave sake enough to feel alone," suggests that the act of running away was not enough to solve the singer's problems, but rather made them feel more isolated. The lines "I wandered lorn acres for days, unable to find my way back home" further emphasize this feeling of being lost and adrift.

The third and fourth lines of the verse "Fleeting dreams light my path, that long for the warmth of skin again" suggest a longing for human connection and touch. However, the following line "Though my bones may split, my spirit break, I endure - the circle remains" reveals a determination to persevere and keep going, despite the difficulties and pain. The "circle" mentioned here could represent the cycle of loneliness and despair that the singer feels trapped in.

Overall, the lyrics to Circle paint a poignant picture of loneliness and the human need for connection and belonging. Despite the struggles faced by the singer, the final line of the verse suggests a resilience and determination to keep moving forward.

WHY I DON'T FIND THIS AT SPOTIFY!? :(

@timberloup

i remember one day when i was in england and i was talking a walk into the hills. and the weird thing about english weather is that you sometimes have this amazing blue sky, but its covered with one or two clouds. and the clouds chase over the sky so quickly that the colour of the ground is constantly changing between a light and a dark green.
and i just wanted to touch the light green so i started to run so that i would reach the sprinkles of sunlight before the clouds could take them away. and once i started to run, i couldn't stop and all i thought was: why should we ever stop running? the universe is infinite.
this thought was somehow childish, but childish in a sense of naive and rash and overwhelmed. it was a quite comforting idea - this song is exactly the same. it's like a proof that the universe is infinite until the next song comes and you are like..  what? where are the stars gone?

@Caseytherabbit

Lovely comment but.. What has that got to do with the universe being infinite?

@0096luke

This proves how powerful music can be.

It's like it opens a gate and memories just flow out.
