1. An american girl group composed of three sisters (Amber, Sarah, and Julia Ross), which was formed in the small town of Indiana, Pennsylvania.
The three sisters started writing and performing when youngest sister Julia was only eight.
With Sarah on the drums, Amber on the guitar, and Julia on keys, Everlife set out to play for anyone that would listen. Later, they were playing over 120 shows a year.
Their first #1 radio hit, Lead the Way, first found prominent rotation on Pittsburgh's The Fish.
Members of Everlife relocated to Nashville, Tennessee and were quickly signed to SHELTERecords. The girls worked with prominent producers Kevan Cyka and Dan Needham to produced their self-titled debut project.
After signing with Disney, they contributed singles to several Disney soundtracks. They were eventually dropped from Walt Disney Records in 2007, but continued a strong relationship with Disney. They even opened for Miley Cyrus on the last six dates of her Best of Both Worlds Tour from January 25 in Lafayette, LA to January 31 in Miami, FL.
Later they signed to label 97 Records.

Take a Ride
Everlife Lyrics

I own fame Hollywood
I own my neighbor hood
Big isn't bad and nobody has to be sad
Bigger excuse to be the one we had
No more voices tracking me down
Only a better day
All I wanted (was a second chance to live again)
All I needed (was to know that I can really see again)
Call me freak call me a poser
You know I love to run with the holy ghost yea
Do you wanna take a ride come on people step inside
Yeah....
Bitter sweat century taste great what a fate
If I do what I do cause I don't care about you
All I can be (no one will ever see)
No one wants a tragedy only a remedy (only a remedy)
[Chorus]
Oh take a ride oo-oo take a ride oo-oo
Step inside oo-oo second chance to live again
All I wanted All I wanted
All I needed All I needed
Oo-oo
[Chorus]
Yeah...
Oh yeah...
Yeah...
I wanna take
I wanna take a ride
The song “Take a Ride” by Everlife talks about the desire to break free from societal expectations and the pressure to conform to standards of success. The lyrics speak of owning fame and one’s neighborhood, and a bigger excuse to be oneself. The first verse suggests that the singer has finally found freedom from the voices in their life, and that nothing can stop them from having a better day. They then go on to express their desire for a second chance to live again, and to really see, suggesting they have been blinded by expectations and hope to regain their vision.
The chorus repeats “All I wanted was a second chance to live again, all I needed was to know that I can really see again”. This refrain highlights the main message of the song - the need to break away from what others expect of us, and to find the freedom to truly live and see. The next verse suggests that the possibility of a better life is open to those who don’t care about what society thinks of them. The lyrics talk about how no one wants a tragedy, only a remedy, implying that our need to conform and succeed may be the root of our unhappiness. The song ends with the singer expressing their desire to take a ride, a metaphor for the desire to break free and live life on their terms.
