Feel it!
The lyrics to Exile's "Heat Beats" reflect a sense of urgency and determination in pursuing one's goals and desires despite the fear of failure or the disapproval of others. The opening lines ask if the listener is afraid to speak up and take action to change their situation, reminding them that simply observing and staying silent will not bring about any change. The following lines suggest that although what we want and what suits us may sometimes differ, we should still make the effort to give it our all and exhaust every possibility. The lyrics also touch on the fear of settling for an unsatisfactory outcome and the desire to live life on one's own terms.
The chorus repeats the image of a fierce beating heart, which becomes so intense it cannot be contained. This represents the overwhelming passion and conviction that drives the singer's actions and decision-making, rather than cold logic or reason. The lines "こんな自分のまま終わりたくない" ("I don't want to end up like this") and "この手で描いていく" ("I will paint my own future with these hands") emphasize the singer's refusal to accept a predetermined fate or to be shaped by external forces. The song encourages listeners to stay motivated and true to themselves, even in the face of criticism or setbacks.
