Eyehategod have noted Melvins, Black Sabbath, Black Flag, Saint Vitus, Carnivore, Swans and Flipper as key influences to their sound. These influences combined with heavy, down-tuned, bluesy riffs, walls of feedback and torturous vocals create a truly filthy, misanthropic atmosphere.
While Jimmy Bower was busy playing drums for Down, the remaining 4 members of Eyehategod formed a side-project called Outlaw Order (abbreviated to OO%). The band released a limited edition 7" EP in 2003 called Legalize Crime, which has since been re-released on CD with a bonus live track. 2008 saw the release of Outlaw Order's debut full-length, titled Dragging Down the Enforcer.

Not quiet
The riot

Pure of heart
Dim of wit
Lots of luck
It's all been bad
Lots of luck
It's all been bad
Silent

The city
Silent
Not quiet
The riot
The city
Pure of heart
Dim of wit
Lots of luck
It's all your fault
Lots of luck
It's all your fault
The lyrics to Eyehategod's song "Agitation! Propaganda!" are a vivid depiction of the chaos and turmoil of a city in a state of unrest. The repetition of the phrase "Silent, Not Quiet, The Riot, The City" emphasizes the intensity and magnitude of the disturbance, as if the entire urban landscape has been consumed by hysteria. The lines "Pure of Heart, Dim of Wit" suggest that the motivations behind the uprising may be genuine but misguided, driven more by passion than clear-headed reasoning.
The repeated refrain "Lots of Luck, It's All Been Bad" conveys the sense of desperation and hopelessness felt by those caught up in the turmoil. The final line "It's All Your Fault" appears to lay blame on some unspecified entity or person for the dire state of affairs, perhaps echoing the frustration felt by those who feel powerless to effect change.
This song speaks to the universal themes of powerlessness, frustration, and disenchantment that can be felt in the face of social and political upheaval. It is a powerful and evocative piece of music that captures the raw energy and emotions of a city in the grip of unrest.

"Pure of heart, dim of wit" brilliant as always Mike! I thought New Orleans is the New Vietnam was kick ass, but this is on a whole other level of badassery
@charlesburton95
Went to see them a few months back at some little concert club here in Cleveland, and Mike Williams was one of the nicest people there. Instead of pushing me out of the way to get to the stage like members of other bands did, Mike just kinda tapped me on the shoulder and gently made his way through the crowd.
Great band that I've been listening to for a few years now, and it always makes me happy to see that the band members are good people.

Can confirm. Mike is one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure to meet. A very humble guy who is always happy to meet and chat with his fans. Him and Matt Young have been some great support to me thru a very difficult period of my life. I consider them to be close friends.

What I dislike about this is that it sounds like it was made in a studio instead of a back alley with a dirty needle in it. All the same, welcome back EHG. Caught you in Denver a few months ago and it was what I needed. Thank you.
