The beginning
F.O.O.L Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

I feel like I did if I didn't use drugs
See like, when you take drugs
You go up, then you go down
After a while
You start to go below the normal level
So when you get high
You just get normal
You're not getting high anymore
See what I'm saying?"
I'm far gone
No longer caring
What my friends say
Don't wanna shoot myself
If I lose myself that's end game
Not after money
These fake girls or pretend fame
I'm here to say I'm insane
Mind moves the speed of ten brains
I'm in pain; but I never complain
I think I'm normal
Wake up sometimes
Forget I'm deranged
Fifty percent of my brain
Is used up
I'm too fucked
Over The Cuckoo's Nest
I flew, ducked
Got hit by a plane
And blew up
I spit random shit
Dealing with abandonment
They make your life for you
You just gotta put your stamp in it
And I'm revampin' shit
Quitting what addicted to
Get Coke, mix a Blue
Make plans that I forget to do
Forget to call
I just want you to know
I miss you too
I feel like I won
So it's moving on to mission two
Feeling a little down
I'm half retarded
Took my first blue and flew
On the Magic Carpet
Just took my last blue
This is where the magic started

Wiped the fucking slate clean
But I left the fabric tarnished

Overall Meaning

The lyrics of F.O.O.L's song "The Beginning" are emotional and raw. It speaks about a love that was lost, and the pain that came with it. The singer reminisces on the times he spent with his lover, wishing he could turn back time and make things right. The lyrics "We both wrong, girl don't pretend" suggest that there were mistakes made on both sides, but the singer is the one trying to take responsibility for the failed relationship. The sentiment in the chorus of not wanting to be alone is a common one when facing a heartbreak. The lines "Am I wrong for feeling ashamed? A part of my soul, you took away" suggests that the singer feels incomplete without his lover and is struggling with his identity after the break up.

The verse "Tell me what's the problem, problem with you, can't solve it, problem, problem with you, I want it, bother, bothering you" shows the singer's desire to fix the relationship, even though he knows he can't. The line "Falling for you all over again" suggests that the singer is willing to overlook the past mistakes and tries to convince his former lover to come back to him. However, the repeating ending "Again" shows the futility in this endeavour as they keep going through the same cycle of pain.

I've been listening to F.O.O.L the last the few years and have never seen this before, amazing he does it once again..

Axtract

This is sick. F.O.O.L never disappoints!

ThieveLuiss

It doesn't matter if it doesn't have a drop. In my opinion it does. you have to think about all the sounds and chord progressions that are used. so emotional and melodic yet still danceable. This song is just epic. unlike dutch.. that just sounds like a bunch of dolphins fucking. single high notes.

T1nkl3d34th

Just because people like Skrillex, and Excision, and many other dubstep artists, make the drop very obvious, does not mean that songs like this don't have drops. In fact at 2:48 that was a massive drop.

Visceral

FOOL's music isn't dubstep or DnB. It's club music. Therefore doesn't always have a drop.

SuperTaakot

This is Electro House! Nothing Else than that!

gina marchal

encore plus monstrueux ! :DD

anxs220

perfect song for morning bicycle ride

Do you guys even what realize what the "drop" is? The "drop" is when the song slows down... there does not have to be a massive explosion of sound afterwards for a song to have a drop.... This song does indeed drop, multiple times even.

lol

F.o.o.l the best :)
