After receiving attention in 2006 for a track released on Advanced Electronics vol3, Faderhead was signed to Accession Records/Indigo and released his debut album "FH1". One year later, he followed up with his sophomore album "FH2".
In 2008, Faderhead parted ways with Accession Records and joined L-Tracks Recordings. On October 10th, the third Faderhead album, aptly titled "FH3" was released.
Faderhead's live show is currently supported by Marco Visconti (of XP8) on keyboards and backing vocals. The Hamburg producer/vocalist uses different musicians for live shows.
Acquire the Fire
Faderhead Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Choices full of greed
Painting images of brotherly love
Can you help me fuck young boys for free?
Nothing left that's sacred in your mind
Nothing left for me
Everything in life returns in time
Let me acquire the fire
Break every rule until I become a monster
Let me acquire the fire
I'll break away until I become a monster
Everybody in your family has
Silent eyes that scream
Everyday in life is just a test
Can you help me fuck young minds for free?
All your talk of a kingdom above
Choice was meant for me
Painting images of family love
Can you help me fuck young minds for free?
Let me acquire the fire
Break every rule until I become a monster
Let me acquire the fire
I'll break away until I become a monster
The lyrics of Faderhead's song "Acquire the Fire" are complex and provocative. At first glance, they seem to criticize religious and societal structures that preach brotherly love and family values but are corrupted by greed and abuse of power. The repeated question "Can you help me fuck young boys/minds for free?" may refer to the sexual abuse of minors within these structures. The lyrics also suggest a rejection of the rules and roles imposed by society, symbolized by the desire to "acquire the fire" and become a monster, breaking away from norms and expectations.
However, the meaning of the song is not easy to unravel. It can be interpreted as an exploration of the dark side of human nature, the struggle between instinct and morality, and the desire for power and control. The lyrics may also reflect the singer's personal experiences or observations of abuse and manipulation in relationships or institutions. The contrast between the idealistic language of love and family and the graphic imagery of abuse and corruption creates a jarring effect that challenges the listener's assumptions and provokes reflection.

At first I was concerned about the lyrics too, then I read the rest and it's quite clear that this is about religion...therefore it makes sense and is totally a badass song

I'm bi so the religion diss applies on one hand, but damnit I would and have sang this out loud because if a certain type of younger feminine boy I would be interested in would happen to catch the lyrics, plain and simple I would totally be down with taking turns on each other. But that's just me.

Lol maybe not, but I don't think it's meant to be the usual club hit sing along song. It may give one the idea that you sing along to the chorus but that's most likely due to the fact that it's still industrial dance styled music. I think it's more or less a song made to illustrate a point than be catchy.
