Naimtain Bantata Hua Jis Simt
Fasihuddin Soharwardi Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Ne'amatein baant ta jis simt woh zeeshaan gaya,
Saath hi munshiaey rehmat ka qalam daan gaya

Naimatin Banta Jis Samat

Le khabar jald ke ghairon ki taraf dhiyaan gaya
Mere Maula mere Aqa tere qurbaan gaya
Dil hai woh dil jo teri yaad say ma'moor raha
Sar hai woh sar jo tere Qadmon pe qurbaan gaya

Unhein jana unhein mana na rakhha ghair se kaam
Lillah Al Hamd main duniya se Musalmaan gaya

Jaan o dil hosh wa khirad sab to Madinay pahonche
Tum nahi chalte Raza sara to samaan gaya

Aah woh aankh ke nakaame tamanna hi rahi
Hai woh dil jo tere dar se pur arman gaya

Aur tum par mere Aqa ki Inayat na sahi
Najdiyo! Kalmah padhane ka bhi ehsaan gaya

Aaj le unki Panah aaj madad maang unse
Phir na maanege Qayamat mein agar maan gaya

Uff ray munkar yeh badha joshe ta'assub akhir
Bheed me haath se kam bakht ke Imaan gaya.

Overall Meaning

The lyrics to Fasihuddin Soharwardi's song Naimtain Bantata Hua Jis Simt are a beautiful ode to the blessings that have been bestowed upon the singer. The first line denotes the distribution of blessings in the direction of the one who is praiseworthy. The next line talks about the gift of the pen of mercy that has been given to the author along with these blessings. The author then talks about how his attention has been diverted from worldly worries towards the non-believers, clearly indicating his love for his religion and God. He then proclaims his love and sacrifice for his Lord, stating himself as a sacrifice in front of him.

The next few lines consist of the singer praising the love he has for his Lord and how it has filled his heart and soul. He even goes ahead and says that he is willing to sacrifice his life for his Lord. The singer then talks about his unwavering faith in his Lord and how he has never let anything divert him from his worship. He even goes on to talk about Madinah and how it's the ultimate destination for every Muslim soul. The last stanza talks about the singer's wishes, intentions and desires to be devoted to his Lord forever.
