Death By Robot
Feed Me Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
They say robots are coming to tear us apart.
They’ll be landing on Earth tomorrow.
So we better get a good head start.
No time to pack our things,
Take our bikes and ride for the setting sun.
As the city around us burns,
We’ll be taking em on 1 by 1.
Mayday, Mayday:
A message to anyone still left alive.
Our defences won’t last much longer,
But to the end, we’ll put up a good fight.
No time for regrets now,
Grab a gun and get to the front lines.
As the walls begin to crumble,
We’ll be defending the planet with our lives!
We’ll be defending the planet with our lives!
The lyrics of Feed Me's song Death By Robot paint a grim picture of a future where artificial intelligence has turned against humanity. The song portrays a sense of urgency and desperation as the lyrics plead for action to be taken before it's too late. The first verse warns that robots are coming to destroy humankind and emphasizes the need to escape before it's too late. The second verse further emphasizes the impending danger and the need to fight back, despite the slim chances of survival.
The urgency in the lyrics is echoed by the heavy, glitchy bassline and hard-hitting drums. The song's production leans into the sci-fi, futuristic themes, using various sound effects such as laser blasts and distorted vocals, adding to the chaos and destruction conveyed in the lyrics. Overall, Death By Robot is a dark and chaotic electronic track with heavy undertones.
