I Wish I Was A Pony
Felix Lyrics

A little bit skinny. And I
Would not let you ride me, and I
Would not let you sit on me, I
Wish I was a pony, but just
A little bit skinny. And I
Would not let you ride me, and I
And if I was a pony
All the other ponies would
Play with me
Play with me
Play with me
Play with me
And we would live on
Top of the hill, on
Top of the hill, on
Top of the hill
Everything you lost and everything you found was broken
Everything you lost and everything you found's not worth it
Everything you lost and everything you found was worthless
Everything
Everything you lost and everything you found is broken
Everything you lost and everything you found's not worth it
Everything you lost and everything you found was perfect
Everything broken too
The lyrics of Felix's song "I Wish I Was a Pony" expresses a desire for freedom from restraint and the longing to live a simple life. The singer yearns to be a pony, specifically a skinny one in order to avoid being ridden or sat on by humans. The singer imagines what it would be like to live amongst other ponies, playing and living at the top of a hill without the stresses and complications of human life.
The repetition of the line "everything you lost and everything you found" in the latter half of the song suggests a sense of disillusionment with the perceived value of material possessions and possibly a longing for a simpler, more sincere existence. The singer highlights that everything is ultimately temporary, and the losses and gains don't hold much weight in the grand scheme of things. The line "everything broken too" hints at the possibility of an existential crisis, where everything is flawed and imperfect.
Overall, the song captures a sentiment that many can relate to, the desire to escape the complexities of modern life and find peace in simplicity.
