In 1990 the band won two Brit Awards: Best British Group, and Best British Album for "The Raw and the Cooked" which also reached number one in the US album charts. It was re-packed as a remix album ("The Raw & the Remix" and spawned six singles over three years; "She Drives Me Crazy","Good Thing", "Don't Look Back", "I'm Not the Man I Used to Be", "I'm Not Satisfied" and "It's O.K. (It's Alright)".
The trio split in 1992, though they recorded a new track in 1996 to promote their The Finest compilation. Gift soon reactivated the brand and toured in the 2000s as Roland Gift and the Fine Young Cannibals.
Fine Young Cannibals appeared as the house band in the 1987 film comedy Tin Men, peforming some of the songs that ended up on The Raw and the Cooked. Steele and Cox had previously recorded under the moniker Two Men A Drum Machine and a Trumpet.

I still see people we used to know
Friends they ask me where is she now
I have to tell them we're over now
When I question love I thought I'd surely die
I couldn't see a future without you by my side
We're not together but I'm still alive
Funny how love is
Funny how love is
Funny how love is
I don't want your magazines I don't want your cloths
Take them from my house let me be alone
If you'll ever tryin' to catch me again I'll go behind the wall
Don't send me letters I don't want to know
When I question love I thought I'd surely die
I couldn't see a future without you by my side
We're not together but I'm still alive
I'd rather not see you for a really long time
Funny how love is
Funny how love is
Funny how love is
Love is so funny, the joke is on me
Funny how love is...
The lyrics of Fine Young Cannibals' "Funny How Love Is" express the pain and aftermath of a romance that has failed. The singer speaks of revisiting places they used to go, and seeing people they used to know – all reminders of the relationship they once had. It's clear to their friends that they've broken up, but the singer still feels the need to confirm it, which implies that they are struggling with the reality of the situation.
The lyrics also reveal the singer's feelings of hopelessness and despair after the breakup. They once believed that they couldn't survive without their love, but now they realize that they can live without it - even though they'd rather not see their ex-partner for a long time. The lines, "Love is so funny, the joke is on me" sums up the heartbreak and irony of their experience.
Overall, "Funny How Love Is" is a song about the complexity of relationships and heartache. The singer acknowledges the humorous side of love - how it can quickly turn from passionate love to heartache and pain.

The chords choice, the bass lines, The Roland's voice, the precussions, The sax ( or, the trumpet, at some live performances) solo..... All, luck, amazing and wonderful. Probably the best song from 80's at a more complete view.
