Although they first met at school in a small Midlands city, it took years of various musical endeavours before the boys found themselves together in Leeds.
Despite being together for a few months, they've toured the UK twice, earned an invitation to play Download Festival and are premiering their debut single January Sun, recorded live to tape at Greenmount Studios, on BBC Radio One.
Now older and more experienced (but none the wiser) Fizzy Blood are poised to make an impact.
Haunted
Fizzy Blood Lyrics

This boy can't bare to be alone
Something's happening tonight that's not happened for a long time
It's a crackle, it's a howl in the night
I know that sometimes I can be a little over the top
But that's why I need you
Don't let my mind wander off
Can you hear them in the walls?
These creatures they have no remorse
It's in the house, oh the horror
You can see it in its eyes
Like the devil except it never visits with a disguise
I know that sometimes I can be a little over the top
But that's why I need you
Don't let my mind wander off
"Fingers dance beside the phone, this boy can't bear to be alone" opens Fizzy Blood's song Haunted. The restlessness of the singer in the opening line is palpable. It appears that something is happening tonight, which has not happened in a long time. He hears the howling sounds in the night and can see the creatures with no remorse crawling in the wall looking at him with their eyes. He is terrified and seeks comfort from the person he is talking to on the phone.
In the second verse, he admits that he can be over the top sometimes, but he still needs that person to keep him grounded. He pleads with the person not to let his mind wander off. The song is about fear and insecurity, the kind that eats away at one's sanity. The fear of being alone and the fear of the unknown are prevalent throughout the song. The singer is afraid of the creatures he sees and feels a sense of inexplicable horror.
The song's poignant lyrics and deep intensity capture the essence of being haunted by one's fear and insecurity. The fear of being alone and the fear of the unknown is a common theme that makes this song relatable. It's a haunting and powerful musical composition that keeps the listener captivated from beginning to end.
