Clear
Fly By Midnight Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Over
She stays over every Thursday
Told her it's my favorite day of the week

Closer
I stay falling she's June I'm
October what a season to be
(Oh she's got)
Two tone denim
With her hair in a braid
Heartbreak weighs on her mind

(The feeling)
Blue turns red
When I stare at her face
And she looks back into mine
That looks right back into mine

It's so clear
Now that you're here

Talk through
All the things she thought
By now
Would come true
While on the side of her bed

Trust me
She's my four leaf clover
Call me lucky
To keep her voice in my head

(Oh she's got)
Low top vans
Piled up by the door
Her t shirt
Over the light

(And I know)
These four walls
Cover us on the floor
But maybe that's the reason why
And maybe you're the reason why

It's so clear
Now that you're here

It's so clear
Now that you're here

She's in my head
She's on my mind
I tell her over and over yeah

She's in my bed
Like all the time
I want her over and over yeah

I tell her over and over yeah

I want her over and over yeah

Overall Meaning

In these lyrics, Fly By Midnight portrays a beautiful connection between two people who are deeply in love. The song highlights the significance of Thursdays, which seems to be the day the singer's love interest stays over. The mention of it being their favorite day of the week signifies the excitement and anticipation they feel when they are together.

The lyrics metaphorically compare the two individuals by stating, "She stays over every Thursday, Told her it’s my favorite day of the week, Closer, I stay falling she's June I'm October what a season to be." The reference to June and October represents the contrast in their personalities or the different stages they are in life. Despite these differences, they both find joy and beauty in the season they are in together.

The song also describes the physical appearance of the love interest, highlighting her unique style and the weight of heartbreak she carries. The mention of her two-tone denim, hair in a braid, and the weight of heartbreak on her mind adds depth to her character and adds to the intrigue the singer feels towards her. Furthermore, the lyrics capture the intensity of their connection by stating, "Blue turns red when I stare at her face, and she looks back into mine." This line suggests that their bond is so powerful and genuine that it can elicit strong emotions and even metaphorically change colors.

The lyrics continue to express the depth of their relationship as they mention the love interest's personal space and the intimacy they share. The mention of her low top vans, her t-shirt over the light, and the four walls that cover them on the floor create a sense of coziness and comfort. The idea that these surroundings might be the reason why they feel so connected emphasizes the significance they find in their shared space.

The repetition of the line "It's so clear, now that you're here" throughout the song reinforces the message that the presence of the love interest brings clarity and joy to the singer's life. The lyrics also reveal the singer's deep desire for his love interest to be with him constantly. He expresses that she is always in his head, on his mind, and that he wants her over and over again. These repeated statements emphasize his emotional attachment and his longing for their connection to continue.

Overall, "Clear" by Fly By Midnight conveys a beautiful and deeply emotional love story. The song celebrates the unique bond between two individuals, highlighting their differences, their shared space, and the profound effect they have on each other's lives.

@Sonar_125

Their sound reminds me of 2000 album in blue by the Irish sibling band called the corrs. The strings on this album is reminiscent of the sounds on that album. It's so nostalgic. Just what I wanted in 2023. Thank you guys for putting out such music in this crappy music taste of most people.

@maxsuitup
