The Badman Riddim (Jump) Songfacts reports that Orifice Vulgatron and Dag Nabbit met in Dubai and after making drum and bass for a time they switched to hip hop. DJ Nonames met Metropolis at university in 2000 and the duo joined hip hop and funk band Focused Few and began throwing warehouse parties and touring. Vulgatron was introduced to Nonames through Dj Gizroc, then part of the Mixologists Crew, and by late 2002 the quartet had started performing and recording alongside beatboxer Shlomo. The band released their first album, Asylum Speakers on November 27, 2003. Shlomo subsequently moved on and started doing his own thing with the Beatbox Orchestra and by 2011 Dagnabbit had taken a backseat and was concentrating on the crew's business side.
The crew have released a slew of 12"s and Ep's and really made their mark after independently releasing their critically acclaimed, debut LP 'Asylum Speakers'. Foreign Beggars have collaborated and toured with the cream of UK's Hip Hop movement, with Shlomo appearing on Björk's album Medulla and NoNames having done cuts for Damon Albarn's Gorillaz project. With forthcoming projects with Dj Sparo, Dj Vadim, Dudley Perkins, WildChild (Lootpack), OH NO, Dj IQ, Dj Mentat, Scratch Perverts, and Euphrates, the crew see no boundaries with diversifying their sound.
Foreign Beggars are also renowned for their explosive live performances, which recently saw them tear down Glastonbury, Fabric and Hip Hop Kemp in Hradec Kralove. They have supported Public Enemy, Roots Manuva, Beatnuts, Masta Ace, Grand Master Flash, Talib Kweli, Wu-Tang Clan, Asian Dub Foundation, Last Emperor, Mark Ronson, Ja Rule, Blak Twang, and many more.

Glacial
Foreign Beggars Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
B-Believe it
I lost my way home while exploring the galaxy
When I chill I'm talking glacial
Lace any break with an understated skill
Make it feel like you're in an fabricated reel
Like spending hours taking pills
Journeys through stainless steel
My blade'll cut sharper than any sabre will
We're bubbling like soda-streams
Syntax coming fresher than pot-pourri
Popping up on the set like 'only me'
Here's my persona super-imposed on beats
Notice we get colder than frozen cream
Or hotter than the haze off a solar beam
All over beats Dag made
Trying to find a niche in this rap game
Gotta be a weasel in this rat race
Ain't pulling blades but I may pull a face
My trade's putting haters in their place
So get a tape
Nah, fuck that it's all digital
I'm getting more gripping than four fingers will
Trying to stop your breath it's
Mr Vulgatron and the Dr S.
[Hook] x 2
Yo it's Dr Syntax
(Orifice)
Dropping sick raps
(Never dis)
What we dispatch
(You'll get bitch slapped)
We got the killer raps, no filler, you should consider this
The iller kids spitting it's sicker than fifty invalids
Dropping sick raps
Sit back with Dr Syntax
Sunday afternoon got my mind set on six tracks
It's kind of nice to exist in the here and now
Reeling out rhymes with people nice enough to hear me out
I feel no fear with the BB bumping in the speaker
I see the mic and start fiending like an eager beaver
I guess I'm in the right place at the right time
Cos all I wanna do in life is recite rhymes
It's been a long time coming but I guess I'm ready
Sometimes I find myself lost from the word go
But then I kick back and reminisce about my first show
It's been a mission but I'm glad I went the long way
Even though I ripped at every rave and got the wrong pay
Paid my own trains let them pass after long days
But now I know I feel it in my heart when my song plays
[Hook] x 2
I leave my prints on
Every single beat that I'm given
Ever the originator give or take a little nod to convention
Illustrate what a [?] created a benchmark
Feeling part of the scene more than ever
[?] me and [?] put our heads together now to the better plans
Think we bless mics, well you guessed right
Metaphorical facial lies for your stress lines
Your best life kinda lost hope at the age of twenty
Never tended to his head instead he he lost it dropping one too many
Sedatives, and anything anyone ever said was heavy
Choking on his pubes made him sound like he was General Levy
You know you only really get one chance to shine
One chance to show the world you're first and burst rhymes
Don't matter that you came in last your first time
But you better come in first the last time you rhyme
[Hook] x 2
[Outro] x 4

I lost my way home while exploring the galaxy
The lyrics to Foreign Beggars' "Glacial" explore the singers' journey through the world of rap, with clever wordplay and boastful imagery. The opening lines set the tone for the entire song, as the singer suggests that something big is about to happen, and warns the listener to believe it. The lines "I lost my way home while exploring the galaxy" suggest that the singer is on a journey, caught up in something much bigger than himself. As the song progresses, the listener is taken on this journey with the singer, exploring a world of rhymes, beats, and competition. The singer boasts of his skills, both as a rapper and as a wordsmith, describing himself as cutting sharper than any saber and colder than frozen cream. The hook of the song, "We got the killer raps, no filler, you should consider this" reinforces the idea that the singer is at the top of his game, and ready to take on anyone who challenges him.
The second verse shifts focus a bit, with the singer reflecting on his journey to this point. He talks about struggling to find his place in the rap game, and being willing to do whatever it takes to succeed. He also acknowledges the challenges he's faced, including being underpaid and having to pay for his own trains to get to shows. Despite all of this, he remains grateful for where he is and the opportunities he's had. The verse ends with the line "But now I know I feel it in my heart when my song plays", suggesting that the singer has found his voice and is confident in his ability to succeed.
Overall, "Glacial" is a song about the journey to success in the world of rap. The singer is confident and skilled, but also knows the struggles of the game. The song is full of clever wordplay and boasts, creating a world that is both fantastical and grounded in reality.
