Be not paralyzed!
Defending freedom means
That we all stand together
Let us begin anew
Let us be the new generation
Let us get to work
And let the resistance rise!
The lyrics in Formalin's song Aftermath, particularly this verse, speaks about taking a stand for freedom and not letting hesitation overpower the desire to defend it. The line, "defending freedom means that we all stand together," emphasizes the importance of being united when it comes to standing up for one's rights and beliefs. The call to action in the following lines is to start anew and be the new generation that will take on the responsibility of leading the resistance. The word 'resistance' in this context signifies a movement against anything that goes against one's freedom and individuality.
Moreover, the line, "let us get to work," implies the need for action and taking steps towards achieving the desired change. The song advocates for being proactive in bringing about change and not waiting for it to happen. This message is particularly relevant in today's time, with several issues surrounding freedom, discrimination and other socio-political topics needing attention and action.
Overall, the verse in Formalin's song Aftermath is a call to action to the listeners to be the change that they wish to see in the world, take action and involve themselves in bringing forth a revolution that will lead to a better future for all.
