In 1999, Foxy Brown made history as the first female rapper to have a number 1 album with Chyna Doll selling over 173,000 copies in the first week.
In 2005, while in the midst of recording her studio album Black Roses, Brown faced another hardship when she was diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss. The hearing impairment took 100% of Brown's hearing, but 20% was restored after an operation to repair it. After her fifth surgery Foxy regained 99.9% of her hearing.
Following a relatively quiet career period which coincided with an eight month jail sentence in 2008, Foxy continued to record the long in-progress Black Roses with a projected release date of late 2010. Ultimately, Black Roses was never released.
In 2018, after years of hiatus, Brown was a featured artist on Nicki Minaj's fourth studio album Queen on the track "Coco Chanel".

Years go by and still
The words won't come easily
Like sorry, like sorry
Forgive me... is all that you can say
Years go by and still
The words won't come easily
But you can say baby, baby can I hold you tonight
And maybe if I told you the right words, ooo at the right time, you'll be mine.
I love you... is all that you can say
Years go by and still
The words won't come easily
Like I love you, I love you
But you can say baby, my baby can I hold you tonight
And maybe if I told you the right, ooo at the right time, you'll be mine. [x2]
The song Sorry by Foxy Brown features a storyline of a relationship where one person has committed a wrongdoing and is attempting to apologize for the harm caused. The lyrics highlight the struggle of expressing remorse when time has passed and the hurt still lingers. The words "sorry" and "forgive me" seem inadequate and cannot fully convey the depth of emotion needed for reconciliation. The person is longing for forgiveness and a chance for redemption, but the words won't come easily. The lyrics suggest that it takes more than just apologizing to make things right; it takes action, effort, and time to repair a relationship. The chorus is repeated to emphasize the difficulty in expressing sincere remorse when wrongs remain unaddressed.
Furthermore, the song suggests that actions speak louder than words, and the right words spoken at the right time may not be enough to make up for what was done wrong. The repeated line "Baby can I hold you tonight" acknowledges the need for physical comfort and connection as well as the longing for emotional closeness. The repetition of the chorus highlights the struggle in admitting wrongdoing and asking for forgiveness. The song concludes with a repetition of the final lines, reminding the listener that love is the only way to heal the pain inflicted in the relationship.

Church avenue? Rode by many times is it? hope you're well with Jesus & on His side not yours.
I'm East African and 1st I'm listening to this in 20 some years. Back then we pushed only our;
1- grades,
2- hollow tires with 2 sticks pressed within them to drive it from the back with our 2 hands on each stick,
and
3- each other's dreams. We held to them so that each breaking thru would help the other.
We rode those tires for kilometers and played belief. We lived our dreams in those days & moments.
Now we made it for our children, but some of us fell. I wonder about this woman singing tho, I hope she made it to Jesus before she fell.
After death it's to late it you didn't know Jesus before.. you'll fall off from your friends and no one can help you then..
