Powerful and simple; Freetown personifies good music with a message. Since the groups formal inception in August 2010 Lou Lyons and Muhammad Muwakil, collectively known as Freetown, have been able to touch many with their use of simple instrumentation, thought provoking lyrics, and catchy song arrangement. The goal of Freetown is not to just sell millions of records, but to evoke change in a generation that some may argue is “lost”. As Muhammad and Lou would say,
