Fitter Happier
Radiohead Lyrics

Fitter, happier
More productive
Comfortable
Not drinking too much
Regular exercise at the gym, three days a week
Getting on better with your associate employee contemporaries
At ease
Eating well, no more microwave dinners and saturated fats
A patient, better driver
A safer car, baby smiling in back seat
Sleeping well, no bad dreams
No paranoia
Careful to all animals, never washing spiders down the plughole
Keep in contact with old friends, enjoy a drink now and then
Will frequently check credit at moral bank, hole in wall
Favours for favours, fond but not in love
Charity standing orders on sundays, ring-road supermarket
No killing moths or putting boiling water on the ants
Car wash, also on sundays
No longer afraid of the dark or midday shadows, nothing so ridiculously teenage and desperate
Nothing so childish
At a better pace, slower and more calculated
No chance of escape
Now self-employed
Concerned, but powerless
An empowered and informed member of societ, pragmatism not idealism
Will not cry in public
Less chance of illness
Tires that grip in the wet, shot of baby strapped in backseat
A good memory
Still cries at a good film
Still kisses with saliva
No longer empty and frantic
Like a cat
Tied to a stick
That's driven into
Frozen winter shit, the ability to laugh at weakness
Calm, fitter, healthier and more productive
A pig in a cage on antibiotics

I split the song into 3 parts
First part is where the narrator talks about how the life is a happy life but also a calculated one, look how everything is adjectived:the exercise is regular and drink at a volume and not eat microwave dinners(because to be productive you need to be healthy),you should be well with your workplace friends("to have a stable job wage)and not losing touch with them.
The second part is where we see narrator finds this not happy in any sense:he shouldn't kill bugs(to not decrease his social image),should go supermarket and charity(to consume-food and thought),there's nothing to be feared(not because of self improvement but due to feared people ashamed)
3rd part is where we see the narrator is self aware that nothing will change:being better on society means no ideals and be informed with information that leads to nowhere, and also leads to scariest sentence in the in my opinion:"shot of baby in back seat"(he's having a constant paranoia over the child, there's no time to think yourself, only other and society's desires on who you should be).Only animalistic behaviour are left from the human as the emotions are dumbed to reactions(kisses with saliva) and when they are erased he will be an"ideal person"
