1. Leslie Edward Pridgen (born March 24, 1977), better known by his stage name Freeway, is an American rapper. Freeway a.k.a. Philly Freeway began rapping while in high school. He later met fellow rapper Beanie Sigel, who would be signed to Roc-A-Fella and later help Freeway get a contract with the record label. Freeway became one of the label's most visible artists after making his first appearance on The Dynasty: Roc La Familia in 2000 and appearing on several other Roc releases before putting out his solo album, Philadelphia Freeway.
The album was produced primarily by Roc-A-Fella-affiliated artists--Just Blaze, Bink!, Kanye West--and featured mostly Roc-A-Fella rappers as well, many of them from State Property: a Philadelphia-based bunch of Roc members that Freeway and Beanie Sigel had compiled into a group. The album's biggest hit was What We Do, produced by Just Blaze and featuring Jay-Z & Beanie Sigel.
After relations between Beanie Sigel and State Property soured, whether he and Freeway are still friends is unclear. Though Beanie had said he didn't know if he'd work with State Property again, he was present at Jay-Z's I Declare War concert alongside Freeway.

In Freeway's song "All The Way Live," the lyrics convey a sense of confidence and a celebration of success. The repetition of phrases like "hol' up," "yeah, yeah," and "woah, woah" sets a lively and energetic tone for the track. The opening lines "Keep off the [?], covered in gold [?], blowin' a check" suggest a lavish and extravagant lifestyle, where the singer is surrounded by beautiful women and is unafraid to spend money freely. The phrase "all the way live" is a declaration of being fully present and engaged in the moment, embracing life to the fullest.
The second verse delves deeper into the artist's background and experiences. Freeway discusses his involvement in the rap industry, stating that he ran rap for many summers and accumulated significant numbers, likely referring to success in terms of sales and chart performance. He also mentions having to mentor and guide younger artists, raising them to become successful hustlers in their own right. The reference to the "ghetto" and "cut throat" indicates the tough environment he came from, where the stakes were high and survival required street smarts. The description of sliding by in a wide-body vehicle that resembles a tug rope adds to the imagery of power and confidence.
Overall, "All The Way Live" is a song that celebrates success, opulence, and being fully present in the moment. It showcases Freeway's journey from the streets to the rap game and highlights the vibrant and energetic lifestyle that comes with it.
