They already supported The Casting Out, as well as the Taste Of Chaos Tour 2007 with Rise Against and The Used.
Amongst their followers, there are also local artists like 3 Feet Smaller, who promptly invited them to support regularly at the Last Band Standing Tour (co-headliner with Julia) in autumn 2008.
In March 2008 their hard work finally bore fruits in the form of their first album, The Beginning, which was released at Pate Records.
Still the same year, they responded to the high demand of acoustic songs at their concerts and recorded The Acoustic Chapter. It became available for download on their homepage on Dec 24, 2008.
One could probably compare FDTF with Alexisonfire or From Autumn To Ashes stylistically. But even Bullet For My Valentine and Panic At The Disco have been mentioned in that regard before.
Bandmembers are:

Broken Heart
From Dawn To Fall Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
and I can't stand the thought no more
(the thought no more)
My heart hurts in my lungs I'm giving out
reaching for a hand
But nobody's there to catch my fall
Now I'm standing on the roof tops of the city
(...roof tops of the city)
and I'm asking you to...
Take this broken heart and
fix it
make it
beat again
so that I can sing this Song (... out in the heavy rain)
Take this broken heart and
fix it
make it
beat again
Again
I can't remember anyone who really understands
what I'm tryin' to say
(what I'm tryin' to say)
I'm falling down in silence
out of my real-world-fantasy
runnin' to a place called
happen-loning for the sea
Now I'm standing on the roof tops of the city
(... roof tops of the city)
And every breath I take hurts
forgiving of a bleeding and I'm asking you to
Take this broken heart and
fix it
make it
beat again
so that I can sing this Song (... out in the heavy rain)
Take this broken heart and
fix it
make it
beat again
Make it beat again
Whowhoow
Take this broken heart
whoowhoow yeah
I'm sittin' here alone
thinking about the think I've done
wondering what could be better
and what I've done wrong
Now I'm standing on the roof tops of the city
and every heart beat hurts like
it won't continue beating
And I'm asking you to
take this broken heart and
fix it
make it
beat again
so that I can sing this Song (... out in the heavy rain)
Take this broken heart and
fix it
make it
beat again
Make it beat again
Take this broken heart
...my broken heart
The song "Broken Heart" by From Dawn to Fall is a powerful depiction of heartache and the desire for healing after a relationship has ended. The opening lines convey frustration and exhaustion with the game-playing that inevitably occurs in relationships. The singer declares that they cannot stand the thought of it anymore and that their heart hurts in their chest. They reach out for help but find no one to catch them as they fall. This sense of loneliness and isolation is palpable throughout the song.
The chorus asks for someone to take the broken heart and fix it so that it can beat again. The desire for healing is strong, as the singer longs to be able to sing again and move on from the pain of the past. The second verse continues the theme of isolation, as the singer struggles to find someone who truly understands what they are going through. They feel as though they are falling down in silence, and they dream of escaping to a place by the sea where they can be free from their pain.
The final chorus repeats the plea for help and healing, as the singer stands on the rooftops of the city and feels every heartbeat and breath as they struggle to keep going. The song ends on a haunting note, as the singer pleads for someone to fix their broken heart.
Overall, "Broken Heart" is a poignant depiction of the pain of heartbreak and the universal human desire for healing and connection.
