Godfrey reconvened Frost* the following year, however, and began work on a second album. Experiments in Mass Appeal was released in 2008, with Declan Burke of Darwin's Radio replacing Boyes. The band toured again, with several lineup changes along the way. Edwards left in 2008, was replaced by Nick D'Virgilio of Spock's Beard for the 2009 tour, and eventually by Steven Wilson's drummer Craig Blundell; Jowitt left in 2009 to be replaced by Level 42 bassist Nathan King. In April 2011, the band once again dissolved, but was revived just five months later when Godfrey announced he was working on another album. That album took five long years to materialize. To tide fans over, a live-in-the-studio DVD, The Rockfield Files, was released in 2013. Frost*'s third album, entitled Falling Satellites, was scheduled for release in May 2016. It found Godfrey co-writing with Mitchell for the first time, and featured a guest appearance by guitar god Joe Satriani.
On the 15th of May 2019, it was announced that the drummer Craig Blundell was to leave the band citing scheduling conflicts.

Frost* Lyrics

Brought the man with the warning light
Shouting loud "you had better fly"
While the darkness can help you hide
Trouble's comin' without control
No one's stayin' that's got a hope
Hurricane at the very least
In the words of the gypsy queen
Sign of the gypsy queen
Pack your things and leave
Word of a woman who knows
Take all your gold and you go
Get my saddle and tie it on
Western wind who is fast and strong
Jump on back, he's good and long
We'll resist till we reach the dawn
Running seems like the best offense
Staying just don't make any sense
No one could ever stop it now
Show the cards of the gypsy town
Sign of the gypsy queen
Pack your things and leave
Word of a woman who knows
Take all your gold and you go
Shadows movin' without a sound
From the hold of the sleepless town
Evil seems to be everywhere
Heed the spirit that brought despair
Trouble's comin' without control
No one's stayin' that's got a hope
Hurricane at the very least
In the words of the gypsy queen
Sign of the gypsy queen
Pack your things and leave
Word of a woman who knows
Take all your gold and you go
Sign of the gypsy queen
Pack your things and leave
Word of a woman who knows
Take all your gold and you go
Sign of the gypsy queen
Pack your things and leave
Word of a woman who knows
Take all your gold and you go
The lyrics to Frost*'s "Signs" tell the story of impending danger and the warning signs that come with it. The opening lines "Lightning smokes on the hillrise, brought the man with the warning light" set the ominous tone for the song. The man with the warning light then shouts "you had better fly" warning the listener to flee as trouble is coming without control. The lyrics also reference the "gypsy queen" who delivers a message which advises the listener to pack their things and leave with all their gold. The lyrics suggest that staying put is futile as the trouble that's coming is like a hurricane.
The song has a sense of urgency and a feeling of foreboding as it speaks of the horrors of the unknown. The lines "shadows moving without a sound, from the hold of the sleepless town. Evil seems to be everywhere, heed the spirit that brought despair" conjures up images of fear and paranoia. The lyrics advise the listener to flee, resist, and show the cards of the gypsy town. The chorus repeats the message with urgency, reminding listeners of the sign of the gypsy queen and the need to leave with all their possessions.

This is such a great band--they have everything going for them: superb songwriting, distinct musical personalities amongst each other, obvious arranging skills, virtuosity to execute their great ideas, plus tons of charm. I wish I had encountered these guys sooner!

Falling Satellites is my ultimate Prog Album from the last ten years! The whole album is a masterpiece! Modern Prog (with great Genesis DUKE era musical influences here and there) but still organic songwriting! Thank you for this release!! It‘s a perfect album!

Falling Satellites was hands down my favorite album of 2016. Totally unexpected but absolutely brilliant. I hope they find success here in the states. They deserve it.

I could see that for sure... Tears for Fears are in my eyes one of the best pop bands/artists of all time along with The Police and Michael Jackson.
