1. Fruition (Portland, OR) has been showcasing their captivating brand of Folk, Soul, Grass and Rock 'n Roll to the West Coast since 2008. In the last few years they have expanded to the greater US scene, playing theaters, bars, street corners and Music Festivals all over the country (SXSW, High Sierra Music Fest, Yarmony Grass, String Summit, Oregon Country Fair, Omaha Summerfest and many more.)
This year they're hitting it even harder - they opened for Railroad Earth at the Crystal Ballroom (Portland, OR) for NYE, and are venturing out on a several-month tour that will hit all corners of the USA. They've shared stages with a range of popular bands- ALO, Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder Mountain Stringband, Scott Law, Everclear, Railroad Earth, Furthur, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Leftover Salmon, Elephant Revival, Hot Buttered Rum, Delhi 2 Dublin, Infamous Stringdusters, Great American Taxi, Danny Barnes, Head for the Hills, and many many more.
In June of 2013, they will be putting out a new full-length album that will surely thrust them from opening-slots and small stages to headlining gigs and large capacity venues.

2. Having recently supported The View, Larrikin Love, The Rifles, The Modern and The Holloways, Fruition are taking great pleasure in giving their music to the masses. They take to the stage with a great energy and always entertain. All from a little village called Pirton the boys strive to bring a sense of community and passion to the procedings
The band has worked hard on creating their own style influenced by rather than sounding like the bands that have inspired the individual members. They also work hard in the studio to make the tunes released give people the same energy they feel at the live shows. Not content with what they have got they are going out to grab everyone and get them jumping.
Santa Fe
Fruition Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
I'm going the places you'd be taking me if you could
And its crystal clear
That even with distance I am loving you like I should
And I go walking where
There's quartz in the gravel and jasper in the yard
Nobody watching you
Just the painted Mother Marys and the cowboys made of bronze
We're gonna move some day
We're gonna move to Santa Fe
In the midnight hour
I go quiet with a dream of you in mind
And like the sun
It warms my skin and brightens up my eyes
We're gonna move some day
To that adobe house with turquoise painted gates
And once it's done
The days will move at just the perfect pace
We're gonna move some day
We're gonna move to Santa Fe
The lyrics of Fruition's song Santa Fe can be interpreted as a tribute to a long-distance relationship. The singer is unable to physically be with their loved one in the present moment, but daydreams about all the wonderful places they would go if they were together. The song emphasizes the distance between the two, yet highlights the strength of their love. The first verse paints a picture of the singer taking themselves to places that their partner would also take them to if they could be together. The chorus emphasizes the couple's desire to move to Santa Fe, where they can live in their adobe house with turquoise gates, and live a life together.
The second verse speaks of the singer's midnight thoughts, where they dream of their loved one and that dream fills them with warmth, as if the sun has touched their skin. The overall theme of the song is longing for connection and love, despite the physical distance. By singing about the places they would go and the life they would like to lead together, the singer is keeping their love alive and giving it room to flourish. The song's relaxed and upbeat melody complements its optimistic and loving lyrics, encouraging listeners to hold on to their own long-distance relationships.
