this music changed my life... I've started to love 80's music from the moment I heared this song. And I knew till today it was and it is the best decade of music. I remember so well the first time I hear it on the radio.
we were in 1997 and I was 9 years old. I was listening a comercial radio here from Portugal (called Radio CIDADE - 99.7FM) in my bedroom while I was playing with my stuff.
I used to had a cassete ready to record anything that could play on the radio.
that's what I've made... has I started to hear the intro of this song, I quickly pressed the rec button.
that tape was my company for so many years (It was the only way to hear that song, that I didn't knew the artist or anything). I just knew it was a song from the 80's. My favorite part was with no doubt, the verse!! those chords starting at 1:29 killed me at that time and still kills me today!
passed a few years, maybe less than 10, I've discovered an 80's style that was called "italo disco". and I knew it, this song was an italo disco one!!!
then, youtube came, and I've found it!!
back in those days didn't knew anything about music theory but I knew that there was something special in those "ambient sounds".. Today, as a musician (thanks to this one and much more other songs that made me want to discover music theory) I can figure out why did I love those chord progression, and they still make me chills!
