On December 2009 they released their first LP titled "Historia de la Luz" (History of Light) which was produced by brothers Renato, Ramiro and Emmanuel del Real (aka Meme from Café Tacvba) with mexican independent label Terrícolas Imbéciles.
They describe their sound as "cosmic folk" for taking elements from both traditional folk music, and contemporary psychodelic rock with lyrics in spanish speaking mostly about the relationship between colours, light, space and love.

Calurosa Navidad
Furland Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
arriba el sol
quemando nuestra calles.
Calurosa navidad,
es el sudor
que moja nuestros trajes.
Aquí no nieva nunca.

The song Calurosa Navidad by Furland, which translates to "Warm Christmas," is an ironic take on the contrast between the traditional Christmas imagery of snow, cold weather, and fireplaces with the reality of a hot Christmas in Latin America. The opening lines set the scene for the song, "Warm Christmas, the sun is up, burning our streets. Warm Christmas, it's the sweat that wets our clothes." The song conveys the absurdity of celebrating a winter holiday in a warm climate where snow and ice are not a part of the experience.
The lyrics go on to describe the ways in which people adapt to the heat during the holiday season, from going to the pool, eating watermelon for dessert, and taking cold showers. The mention of "bombs of water" is a reference to a playful tradition in Latin America, where people playfully drench each other with water-filled balloons during the holiday season.
The song makes use of playful and irreverent humor to criticize the way in which Western cultural traditions have been imposed on Latin America without taking into account the unique context of the region. The song also highlights the sense of community that exists during the holiday season, as people come together in solidarity to endure the heat and celebrate the holiday.
