In the song "Talk," Futuristic criticizes people who over talk and undershoot and aren't living up to their talk. The song carries a strong message that it is easy to talk and make lofty claims, but it is harder to demonstrate your actions and live up to those claims. Futuristic claims that people want to run their mouth and talk about everything theyβve done, but they aren't really about that life. The rapper is audacious in trying to educate people that if you do anything in life, it would be vital to be authentic and genuine to that life, backed by a determination to succeed, rather than mere talking.
The song is a four-minute audible, where the rapper references some of the top names in the rap world, such as Tech N9ne. Futuristic emphasizes that he's the innovator, and he balances his rhymes and music with his business in six different ventures. He takes the moment to put those who talk down and be careful of staying away from their negative energy. The verses build on the chorus to stress this point, predominantly being about the music industry and all the fake artists within it who talk a lot but aren't really about that life.
