1) Triple threat. Many have claimed to possess it, yet finding an artist who has the ability to sing, dance and act is both hard to come by and an even harder quality to obtain. Enter: Gavin Turek. An unlikely character, Gavin turns out to be not at all what she seems. Behind the sweet monotone of her voice, innocent eyes and cascading curls, lies a talented artist. One who is in every sense a triple threat.
The L.A. native known for her incredible voice, is also an experienced dancer, actress, and spokes person for the world renowned make up brand Rimmel London. The Czechoslovakian African beauty began singing at a young age; writing her first song at the age of six.
Gavin's shows promise to be even better then her music. After spending time learning the rich culture and traditional dances of Ghana and India, Gavin took what she learned and incorporated it into her live shows. "The more shows I do, the more I will try to leave little remnants of the places I've been."
Gavin's career has just begun and is sure to be a successful one. Gavin will be releasing her music, an album that incorporates Indie, Pop, and Electronica through newly founded Sonata Cantata Records from Los Angeles, CA which was started by former EVE 6 and Monsters Are Waiting guitarist Jon Siebels. She will release her laptop remix project of her favorite RATATAT songs and if her single "Ring it" is any indication of what lies in store for the rest of the album, her fans are sure to be satisfied. The modest Gavin Turek wrapped up our Venice beach interview by saying, " I never took myself seriously, and I don't know that I still do."
2) A three piece post-grunge band from Reigate, Surrey, started out in the late months of 2011, recorded two songs, two versions of Where Is My Love? and a cover of Scissor Sisters "Laura" entitled by the lead singer as "Lawra"
The band members are:
Nathan "NAC" Clark: Guitar & Vocals
Phill "Fil" Marks: Bass
Andy "NRG" Davies: Drums
3) lo-fi producer from Toronto, Ontario.

Belief
Gavin Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
Makes things feel, feel alright
Belief makes things true
Things like you, you and I
Tonight, you arrested my mind
When you came to my defense
With a knife in the shape of your mouth
Oh, you stood by me, belief
Belief builds from scratch
Doesn't have to relax, it doesn't need space
Long live the queen and I'll be the king
In the color of grace
Oh, tonight, you arrested my mind
When you came to my defense
With a knife in the shape of your mouth
In the form of your body, with the wrath of a god
Oh, you stood by me, belief
I'm gonna yell it from the rooftops
I'll wear a sign on my chest
That's the least I can do, it's the least I can do
Tonight, you arrested my mind
When you came to my defense
With a knife, in the shape of your mouth
In the form of your body, with the wrath of a god
Oh, you stood by me
Tonight, you arrested my mind
When you came to my defense
With a knife, in the shape of your mouth
In the form of your body, with the wrath of a god
Oh, you stood by me and I'll stand by my belief
I will stand by my (belief)
I will stand by my
Belief
Belief
Like you stood by me
I will stand by my, stand by my belief
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh
The lyrics of Gavin's song "Belief" explore how the power of belief can create and shape reality. The first few lines in the chorus, "Belief makes things real/Makes things feel, feel alright/Belief makes things true/Things like you, you and I," suggest that belief has the ability to make things come alive, and make us feel as though they are real, even if they are not objectively factual. Our belief in something can transform it from an abstract idea, to a concrete reality. The verse, "Belief builds from scratch/Doesn't have to relax, it doesn't need space," furthers this idea and communicates that belief can be created from nothing, it doesn't require anything other than conviction and dedication from the believer.
The second verse, "Tonight, you arrested my mind/When you came to my defense/With a knife in the shape of your mouth/In the form of your body, with the wrath of a god/Oh, you stood by me, belief," is particularly poetic and emotive. The imagery of a knife in the shape of the person's mouth is striking and implies how words and speech can be sharp and painful like a knife, but can also be used to defend and protect us. Gavin also alludes to the idea of a higher power, with the reference to the "wrath of a god" suggesting that belief can bring us strength and protection, and that a person's conviction can be as powerful as a deity.
Overall, the song "Belief" explores the transformative power of belief - how it can make the uncertain certain, and how our convictions can shape the world around us. It communicates the idea that belief in ourselves and others can create a reality that is strong and enduring.

Now w a younger man who has nothing . My 3 grown daughters and son have no mom. Just me. They stood by me. I stand by them.
