Bin im Park, zähle Blessings, ja
Kein' Plan, ob es gestern war
Sind am Rhein, machen Session
Hören Luciano the Messenjah
Ich will jetzt nochmal
In das Jahr, als ich sechzehn war
Im Park, zähle Blessings, ja
(Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Luciano the Messenjah
(Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Hören Luciano the Messenjah
Ich will jetzt nochmal
In das Jahr, als ich sechzehn war
Im Park, zähle Blessings, ja
(Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Luciano the Messenjah
(Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Back ina the days, Summer-Jam, Wochenende in der Loreley
Hören Luciano the Messenjah
Ich will jetzt nochmal
In das Jahr, als ich sechzehn war
Im Park, zähle Blessings, ja
(Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Luciano the Messenjah
(Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Way up above the clouds, yeah
(Blessings a flow, music from the heart)
Way up above the clouds, yeah
(Far from the hype and we stick to the task)
Way up above the clouds, yeah
(Blessings a flow, music from the heart)
Way up above the clouds, yeah
(And we keep rollin', rollin', rollin')
Bin im Park, zähle Blessings, ja
Kein' Plan, ob es gestern war
Sind am Rhein, machen Session
Hören Luciano the Messenjah
Ich will jetzt nochmal
In das Jahr, als ich sechzehn war

In "Blessings," Gentleman reflects on his journey in the music industry by counting his blessings in a park. He remembers the moments that led him to where he is today and recalls the people who have played an important role in his life. Gentleman reminisces about listening to Luciano the Messenjah and writing his first verse to David Rodigain while in the park. He also mentions the days of the Summer Jam festival and cutting up a song on the radio to make "Raider" into "Twix." Gentleman understands that his success is due to the hard work and dedication of his mother, and acknowledges her support of his dreams. Despite his success, Gentleman does not lose sight of his roots and continues to appreciate the people and things that made him who he is.
"Blessings" is a reflection on the journey to success and the hardships along the way. It speaks to the power of gratitude and the importance of remembering the people and moments that helped shape us into who we are. Gentleman's tribute to Luciano the Messenjah showcases the strong influence of Jamaican music and culture on his own music. The song is also an homage to the 90s, a time many people have fond memories of, and the lyrics reflect Gentleman's desire to revisit his younger years.
