In Gentleman's song "Runaway," the lyrics express frustration and disappointment towards those who are ungrateful and do not acknowledge the gift of life from Jah. The artist urges listeners to reflect on their actions and choices, emphasizing the importance of prayer and living a life of reality rather than running away from oneself. The lyrics also touch upon the negative impact of violence, specifically the glorification of guns, and the consequences of living a dishonest and immoral life. The song urges individuals to make positive changes and to take responsibility for their actions in order to live a righteous and fulfilling life.
