Glory to the Lamb
Holy, righteous
Worthy is the Lamb
Death could not hold Him down
For He is risen
Seated upon the Throne
The lyrics of Geoff Bullock's song "Blessing Honour" speak about the exaltation and glory given to Jesus Christ, referred to as the "Lamb." The song begins with the proclamation of blessing, honor, and glory being given to the Lamb. These words indicate that Jesus is worthy of praise and adoration. The repetition of these words emphasizes the magnitude of His worthiness.
The next line, "Holy, righteous," emphasizes the divine and morally upright nature of the Lamb. It affirms that Jesus is set apart and pure. Following this, the lyrics declare again the Lamb's worthiness, expressing the idea that He deserves honor and reverence.
The next verse shifts the focus to the resurrection of Jesus Christ. It states that death could not hold Him down, indicating that Jesus conquered death and is victorious. This highlights His power and authority over all things. The following line, "Seated upon the Throne," signifies the Lamb's exalted position as ruler and king. It suggests that He is in control and has authority over all creation. Finally, the lyrics affirm once again that Jesus is the Lamb of God, indicating that He is the sacrificial offering for the redemption of humanity.
Overall, these lyrics celebrate Jesus Christ as the worthy Lamb who is exalted, victorious over death, and seated upon the throne.
