Jazz at it's finest! This era of jazz from the early sixties is phenomenal! I was a kid and my mom played jazz every day cleaning the house those were the days!

WOW, what a masterful 'chart'; building from a 'lazy-day' opener to a driving full-out orchestra with Groove Holmes, this is true brilliance!......... R.I P. Gerald Wilson.

Wilson was a true jazz lover, not just a money maker, but an artist with real depth. He loved the chords of the big band sound, and was often original in interpretation. Wonderful music.

Legendary at it's best! Rest in Peace Mr. Wilson & THANK YOU for your awesome contribution to our music history!

Besides his family Jazz was his LOVE. Wasn't about the money, but teaching, playing writing. Listen to the album that Gerald did with Nancy Wilson. BEAUTIFUL!

I use to work for Apex and Martin a recording distribution in Newark back in the sixties and we played this album constantly…it brings back wonderful memories working around thousands of albums.

Loved being able to check out Gerald & Orch. at Pilgrimage Theatre many Sunday afternoons back in '68 - '71 . In the band : Harold Land , Harold Land Jr . , Oscar Brashear , Britt
Woodman and many others . All stellar musicians .

CLASSIC MASTERPIECE!!!

@medialawprof

Among my favorite big band artists especially the way he blended blues, Latin, and West Coast Swing. Moment of Truth is among other albums a favorite of mine and a classic! Always had the finest musicians. RIP

Bought "You Better Believe It" when it first came out. It was great introduction to Gerald's music. Absolutely adored the man and very saddened by his loss.
