Mi Chico Latino
Geri Halliwell Lyrics

Donde esta el hombre
con fuego en la sangre

I've got a secret. I cannot keep it
Its just a whisper of a distant memory
Just a dream or so it seams
Take me back to the place id rather be
You left a fire in my eyes
That lightens up the darkest skies
I'm giving up I'm letting go
I'll find my way so

Take me back to my sweet lavida
Find my love my dolce vita
Show me where I need to go
Donde esta mi chico latino
La la la la
Ay-y-y-ay
La la la

Stolen moments time has broken
My eyes ares open to this life-long mistery
And so I'll go with what I know
Take my chances and run with destiny

Now there's fire in my eyes
I'll break away and say goodbye
I'm free to be I'm letting go
I'll find my way so

Take me back to my sweet lavida
Find my love my dolce vita
Show me where I need to go
Donde esta mi chico latino
La la la la
Ay-y-y-ay
La la la

Ay-y-y
Que sueno, dolce y pequeno
Yo no se yo no se
Pero no es un cuento
Mi corazon con tormento
Chico latino te quiero y simplemente deseo
Yo lo se el camino
Es un sueno latino

Take me back to my sweet lavida
Find my love my dolce vita
Show me where I need to go
Donde esta mi chico latino
La la la la
Ay-y-y-ay
La la la

(Take me back to my sweet lavida)
Take me back
Find my find my find my love my dolce vita

Show me where I need to go
Donde esta mi chico latino

Overall Meaning

“Donde esta el hombre con fuego en la sangre” is Spanish for “Where is the man with fire in his blood”. The song Mi Chico Latino by Geri Halliwell tells a story of a woman who is in search of something, perhaps a lost love or a place where she belongs. She is haunted by a distant memory, a whisper of a dream that leads her on a journey to find her true self. The lyrics of the song are emotional and evocative, and they speak to the primal desire in all of us to find a place to belong, to find love, and to fulfill our dreams.

The first verse sets the scene for the story, starting with the search for a man with fire in his blood, someone who can light up her world and take her to the place she truly belongs. She is haunted by a dream or a distant memory, a whisper from the past that calls her back to where she came from. The second verse speaks to the idea that life is a mystery, and we must take our chances and run with destiny to find what we are looking for. The chorus repeats the desire for love and the phrase “take me back,” perhaps to a place where the singer once found happiness, or to a feeling that she had lost.

Overall, the song speaks to the universal longing for love and belonging, and the need to find our place in the world. It is a powerful, emotional song that speaks to the heart of the human experience.

@AndyBluSkydive

I was a crew member on this yacht when Geri filmed it over in Sardinia/Corsica. The yacht was called 'Independant of London'.
Good times were had.

Was she that pretty?

@enniruth

not independent?

@@user-lz9hp6zm9i Throw a stick on a beach and you'll hit umpteen young women prettier than Geri Halliwell!

How sad she was once a bouncy, sexy, curvaceous, take-no-prisoners 25 year old with The Spice Girls, the world's biggest female pop group.

But as soon as she went solo, she developed bulimia and became a tiny, underweight victim type. You need only watch the videos for 'Scream if You Wanna Go Faster' and 'It's Raining Men', to see how suddenly, and horribly skinny she went. A terrible example to young women, and the total opposite of 'Girl Power'.

Alas Geri's gone from bad to worse over the years, and is now a scrawny 'Stepford Wife' to the vile, arrogant Christian Horner, recently caught 'Sexting' a younger female colleague. Geri is standing by her man - but if she was really a proponent of Girl Power, she would divorce him. She's pathetic.

I took Spanish classes because of this song. To say I was obsessed with Geri back in the day is an understatement 😂❤️
