After a few late night studio sessions, Ivan and Stevens realized they had something special. They soon began assembling the musical ensemble that would help make their vision become to reality.
The two visionaries did not have to look far to find Chris “Crispy” Binns of Motograter to handle the precision drumming requirements for the project. Being a seasoned veteran, Crispy brings an infectious drive to the material along with an impeccable meter.
Soon after, the band enlisted, Brett “Wingnut” Davis to take on the electronics, programming and keyboards. Wingnut was a natural choice and immediate fit with his prior experience, musical sense and his use of cutting edge technology.
The final addition was Mike “Mikey” McLaughlin on bass and bass synth detail. Along with his unique use of effects on bass, Mikey also brought his years of touring and business sense to help round out the project.
The band recently completed its first self-titled CD, which was engineered and co-produced by Pete Murray (Lo-Pro/Ultraspank).
“This is the most positive musical experience I have ever been a part of,” says Ivan. ”There is so much excitement about what we are creating. I can’t wait for everyone else to hear this…”
While being influenced by sounds of NINE INCH NAILS, THE CURE, PINK FLOYD, ALICE IN CHAINS, TOOL and MINISTRY, Ghost Machine has managed to paint its own portrait of an electronic emotionally rich landscape while still capturing the edge and raw energy that is heavy rock.

What the fuck did you marinate this steak in?
'Cause it's out of this world
You're killin' me with it
No, no, no, family secret, mmm come on
Ha, ha, ha oh, come on, come on
What's the- what's the- what's the fam-
What's the family secret?
A little bit of soy that's it?
Yeah, that's it
I thought it was a family secret
It's your recipe
No, you said to me this is a family secret
And you gave it up to me, boom
Just fuckin' like that
You spill the secret family recipe today
Maybe you fuckin' spill about me tomorrow
Is that so? Maybe that's a possibility?
I was just sayin' you were just sayin'?
Just sayin' got me a nine year
Stretch in Leavenworth and Alcatraz
You understand? So just sayin' can get you
Buried real fuckin' quick"

The lyrics to Ghost Machine's song "Intro" depict a conversation between two individuals who are discussing a family secret. The singer, who seems frustrated and angry, questions the other person about how they prepared a steak, expressing amazement and enjoyment at its exceptional taste. However, their anger quickly surfaces as they accuse the other person of revealing a family secret. The conversation escalates as the singer confronts the person, warning them about the consequences of divulging secrets. They imply that if the person is capable of sharing a family secret, they may also betray the singer in the future.
This dialogue showcases a theme of trust, betrayal, and the potential consequences of sharing information. The singer initially relishes in the delicious taste of the steak but becomes upset and protective of the family secret they believed was being shared. The anger and threat of violence in the final lines of the lyrics further emphasize the intensity of the situation.
This song's lyrics are open to interpretation as they provide only a snapshot of a larger storyline or context. However, they effectively create a tense and confrontational atmosphere through dialogue and convey the message that secrets can have far-reaching consequences.
