Ghostface Killah is critically acclaimed for his loud, fast-paced flow, and his stream-of-consciousness narratives containing cryptic slang and non-sequiturs.
Ghostface Killah was raised in the Stapleton housing projects in Staten Island, New York. In his autobiographical song "All That I Got Is You", Ghost tells the story of his childhood. He raps about how he grew up in a three bedroom apartment without his father, who left him at the age of six. Apparently, his mother had nine children.
His stage name was taken from one of the characters in the 1979 kung fu film Mystery of Chessboxing.
He was also a close friend of the three founding members of Wu-tang clan

So many things I've got to tell you
But I'm afraid I don't know how
'Cause there's a possibility
You'll look at me differently
Love
Ever since the first moment I spoke your name
From then on I knew that by you being in my life
Love
So many people use your name in vain
Love
Those who faith in you sometimes go astray
Love
Through all the ups and downs the joy and hurt
Love
For better or worse I still will choose you first
Many days I've longed for you
Wanting you
Hoping for the chance to get to know you
Longing for your kiss
For your touch, for your essence (your beautiful essence)
Many nights I've cried from the things you do
Felt like I could die from the thought of losing you
I know that you're real
With no doubt or no fears
Or no questions
Love
So many people use your name in vain
Love
Those who faith in you sometimes go astray
Love
Through all the ups and downs the joy and hurt
Love
For better or worse I still will choose you first
At first you didn't mean that much to me
But now I know that you're all I need
The world looks so brand new to me
Now that I found love
Everyday I live for you
And everything that I do I do it for you
What I say is how I feel so believe it's true
You got to know I'm true, love
The song "Love" by Ghostface Killah is a love song that explores the complex emotions that come with loving someone. In the first verse, the artist expresses fear of confessing his love for someone, afraid that their relationship may change. He then reflects on how his life has been different since meeting this person and how he has desired to be close to them physically, emotionally and spiritually. He acknowledges that people often use the word "love" carelessly, and sometimes those who believe in love go astray. But, regardless of the difficulties and challenges, he will always choose love first.
In the second verse, the artist assures the person that they mean everything to him now, and his world looks brand new since meeting them. He is willing to live for them every day and do whatever he needs to do to prove his love. The chorus reaffirms that although people may use the word love in vain and even falter in their faith in it, the artist will always choose love, even through the ups and downs.
The song delves deep into the complexities and challenges that come with loving someone. It speaks to the doubts and fears that we may feel when opening up to someone and yet acknowledges the beauty of finding love and the commitment to choosing it through difficult times.
