Ginuwine can be spotted in one of Jodeci's videos. There, he met rapper Missy Elliott and producer "Timbaland", who became his main collaborators through the 1990s. Ginuwine's first single, the 1996 " Pony" from Ginuwine...The Bachelor, showcased his smooth vocals and Timbaland's innovative production style, and the two became a hit-making duo.
After his second album, 100% Ginuwine, released in 1999, Ginuwine and Timbaland grew apart, and producers such as R. Kelly have crafted hits for him since then. In 2001, Ginuwine had a number-four hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with the single " Differences", which also peaked at number-one on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks chart. In 2002, Ginuwine was a feature artist on P. Diddy's number-one hit "I Need a Girl (Part II)".
Ginuwine's fifth album, Back II Da Basics, was released on November 15, 2005. The album debuted at number 12 on the Billboard 200, selling close to 100,000 copies. Ginuwine stated on BET's Top 100 countdown that the album went Gold with sales of 500,000 copies.
In May 2007, an album entitled I Apologize was released in stores. Although attributed to Ginuwine, the release was an unauthorized album and only included three Ginuwine songs - apparently from stolen masters - and ten songs by other artists. Ginuwine spoke against the unofficial release on both his MySpace page and through YouTube.
Ginuwine's sixth album entitled A Man's Thoughts, was released on June 23, 2009. Ginuwine formed a group with Tank and Tyrese named TGT. Their first single was a remix of Tank's "Please Don't Go". They were supposed to tour but plans fell apart due to conflicting schedules.
Ginuwine announced on his Myspace Blog on August 21, 2008 that due to label and legal issues they will not be able to release an official TGT album. Ginuwine is the founder and CEO of LoveSong Incorporated, after completing his contract with 550 Music/Epic. Ginuwine announced on his Myspace blog on August 21, 2008 that he signed a major label deal with Notifi Records/Warner Brothers.
Busy

I used to hit the bar om Tuesday
I used to hit the club on Friday
Ridin' on the highway with my boys beside me
Until I met my new best friend
All of my boys say I'm trippin'
When they call I'm not answerin'
Busy, whenever I get with her, say
busy and I'm a hit you later
'Cause I'm busy, busy, busy with her
Yeah she my homie, yeah she my friend
Yeah she my lover and we get it in
That's why I'm busy
Might not see me for a while
Because I'm busy, busy, busy
Now me and her play Twister on Tuesday
Now dinner and movies every Thursday
Now I cater to you daily
Can't nobody make me feel like my baby, I
Until I met my new best friend
All of my boys say I'm trippin'
When they call I'm not answerin'
They always get my voice mail 'cause I'm
Busy, whenever I get with her, say
busy and I'm a hit you later
'Cause I'm busy, busy, busy with her
Yeah she my homie, yeah she my friend
Yeah she my lover and we get it in
That's why I'm busy
Might not see me for a while
Because I'm busy, busy, busy
Yeah, yeah, it's crazy just to think about
How I used to be without her,
I still get out every now and then
But I'd rather be with her and tell them that I'm
Busy, whenever I get with her, say
busy and I'm a hit you later
'Cause I'm busy, busy, busy with her
Yeah she my homie, yeah she my friend
Yeah she my lover and we get it in
That's why I'm busy
Might not see me for a while
Because I'm busy, busy, busy
The lyrics of Ginuwine's song "Busy" describe the singer's newfound love and the impact it has on his life. Prior to meeting this woman, he used to engage in activities like watching football on Mondays and going to a bar or club on certain days of the week with his friends. However, since he met his love interest, she has become his priority and he spends most of his time with her. He mentions how his friends acknowledge that he is "trippin'" and can never get a hold of him because he is too "busy" with her. The song emphasizes how love can change a person's priorities and how his newfound love interest is now a constant presence in his life.
The lyrics also reveal the intimate nature of the relationship between Ginuwine and his love interest. They play games like Twister and have dinner and movie dates regularly. He also mentions how he caters to her every day and how she is his homie, friend, and lover. The song implies that their relationship is something special and valuable to Ginuwine, and he would rather spend his time with her than do other activities with his friends.
Overall, "Busy" is a love song that communicates the depth of affection and commitment Ginuwine has for his new love. It showcases how his relationship has changed his life and how he is content with it.
