É uma lição de vida para o povo americano. Esta mulher é cubana e ainda criança fugiu com a familia pobre para Miami, nos Estados Unidos, fugindo da revolução Cubana de Fedel Castro, enquanto seu pai, que era militar e lutou contra Fidel, foi incorporado ao Exército amercano. Lutou no Vietna, adoeceu e ficou sob os cuidados da esposa e das filhas, sendo Gloria a mais velha, que deu o duro junto com a mãe para sustentar a familia. Lá, a garota ganhou a cidadania e naturalizou-se estadunidense, fez o ensino básico e cursou Psicologia na Universidade de Miame, tornando-se poliglota, dominando o Inglês, o Espanhol, sua lingua nativa, e o francês.. Por conta disso, quase se torna agente da CIA. Herdou a veia artistica da avó que cantava e tocava violão, assim como a sua mãe. Gloria cantava na Igreja e caiu nos escantos do seu futuro marido, que era música e produtor musical. Ao ouvir a voz e ver o talento da garota para a música, assim que a viu pela prieira vez, convidou-a para sua banda 'Miami Latin Boys', que mais tarde virou 'Miame Sound Machine', depois, 'Miame Sound Machine e Glória Stefan', até que retiraram os demais nomes e ficou somente o de Glória Stefan. Foi daí que a cantora latina se tornou estrela Internacional com suas belas canções e interpretações. A cantora possui três músicas em primeiro lugar na Billboard Hot 100, ganhou três prêmios Grammys e vendeu mais de 90 milhões de discos. Estefan também está na lista dos "100 Maiores Artistas de Todos os Tempos" da Billboard.
