Teeth Grinding
Gorgoroth Lyrics

Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴  Line by Line Meaning ↴

Under neath the sun
I watch the moon rise.
Above the stars,
And turnoff heights.
I follow from a distance,
I follow from a bard.
I speak the spoken,
I sleep my sleep, my dream, my dream.

I watch the circle fall from the sky
Upon myself,
Upon my side
I see ahead turning waiting yours

Teeth Grinding,
Blessed circle,
Suffer the suffering

Under neath sun
Suuuunnn

Overall Meaning

Interpreting Gorgoroth's song "Teeth Grinding" can be a bit of a challenge since the lyrics are cryptic and abstract. Nevertheless, the song seems to be about following a distant and abstract path in life and being in tune with one's dreams and subconscious. The opening lines imply a sense of juxtaposition between the sun, the moon, and the stars, which can be interpreted to mean that the singer is in a state of confusion and uncertainty about their place in the world. The line, "I follow from a distance, I follow from a bard," suggests that the singer is an observer or a passive participant in their own life. They are not actively engaging with what's happening around them, but rather, they are content with speaking the words that are already spoken and sleeping through their dreams.

The chorus, "Teeth grinding, blessed circle, suffer the suffering," is open to interpretation, but the words "teeth grinding" could mean that the singer is frustrated or anxious about something. The "blessed circle" could be interpreted as a metaphor for life, death, and rebirth, which are recurring themes in various religions and spiritual practices. "Suffer the suffering" could be interpreted as a reminder that pain and suffering are inevitable in life.

Overall, the song seems to be a meditation on the cyclical nature of life, the pursuit of personal meaning, and the acceptance of life's hardships. The lyrics are laced with obscure language and metaphors, which could be interpreted in different ways depending on the listener's perspective.

Goat Lord

on Burn in His Light

This is fucking bullshit. I may not understand the full lyrics, but the "lyrics" sound nothing the words in the song. It started out with something like "Cast out the disgraced. Lord Satan forever lord" or something like that.
