No tenen res a veure, ni tan sols des d'allà dalt
The song L'ocell by Gossos speaks about the challenges and struggles that the natural world faces due to human activity. The first verse talks about how today the birds cannot fly because the smoke and chimneys have turned the sky into artificial clouds. The mother of the singer tells him that maybe the sun will shine again, and everything will be back to normal. The second verse speaks about the wolves in the mountains that cannot cry anymore, as they fear that human beings will shoot them. The wolves' fear, even though they cannot express their emotions to people, is evident to those around them. The singer imagines that maybe it is better for the wolves, as they will not have to see their offspring die from fear. The chorus repeats the message of hope that if the sun were to shine again, maybe everyone could see beyond the current struggles and find a way to coexist peacefully.
Through the lyrics, the song expresses the idea that the return of the sun represents hope and a bright future. The song talks about how human activity, such as the use of chimneys and the hunting of wild animals, has caused much destruction to the natural world. However, the song implies that there is always hope for redemption and that if people change their ways, nature can start to heal.
L'ocell is a beautiful song that touches on relevant social and environmental themes. It has a powerful message of hope that is conveyed through its beautiful melody and lyrics, inspiring listeners to take action and create a better world.
