Granger Smith Lyrics

I locked my heart, she found the key
She's what this feeling's supposed to be
She speaks the love that I'd believe
Oh, I don't ever make a move
Without her out there too
She's in my heart when it beats
She's my life and I take her in
Like oxygen
I've got her touch memorized
But I still get lost inside her eyes
When you know you know, it's no surprise
All that it took, her for me to realize
No I don't ever wanna be
Without her with me
She's in the breath that I breathe
She's in my heart when it beats
She's my life and I take her in
Like oxygen
The half that makes me whole
The reflection of my soul
She's in the breath that I breathe
She's in my heart when it beats
She's my life and I take her in
Like oxygen
In Granger Smith's song "Oxygen", the singer is expressing his deep love and devotion for his significant other. The metaphor of his partner being a lighthouse portrays their role in guiding him through his life journey. The line "I locked my heart, she found the key" reveals that he has given his heart to her completely without reservation. The line "She speaks the love that I'd believe" highlights the importance of communication in their relationship and how it has helped them build a strong foundation.
The chorus reiterates the notion that the singer's partner is an essential part of his life, like oxygen. His partner is not just a physical presence but also deeply ingrained in his thoughts, feelings, and actions. The line "I've got her touch memorized" signifies that the singer is comfortable and familiar with his partner, yet still mesmerized by her beauty. The use of the line "When you know you know, it's no surprise" portrays the idea that when you find your soulmate, everything just feels right.
The final verse reinforces their relationship as a necessary element in the singer's life, completing him as a person. The use of the line "The reflection of my soul" reflects how his partner mirrors his innermost self, and he cannot imagine life without her by his side. Overall, the song conveys the idea of a deep, unconditional love, and the importance of finding someone who completes you.

Backroad song is good, but why isn't his old stuff like this reaching number 1? This is his stuff that truly is amazing.

I love this song because we ALL can relate to it. Broken hearted ones, or the ones in love. It’s vague enough to the point everyone can enjoy, but not vague enough to the point that everyone can have their own memories go through their heads. I may have wrote this wrong. (Feel free to correct me in the comments.)

I sent this song to my girl. She cried but this is exactly how I feel about her. I am so in love and she is the same. It feels good after five years of a toxic relationship to have someone who appreciates and loves you for who you are.
