The band was formed in 1993 under the name Grip as a five-piece band featuring former Overkill bass player Bobby Gustafson on second guitar. After Gustafson and bass player Chaz Grimaldi left the band, Grip Inc hired Jason Viebrooks (Heathen) and recorded their first album, The Power Of Inner Strength. The release of the album was followed by European tour with Motörhead and, later, with Kreator. After releasing their second album in 1997, Viebrooks was replaced by Stuart Carruthers.
The release of their third album, Solidify, in 1999 was followed by a co-headlining tour with Italian band Lacuna Coil (one of the many bands produced by Sorychta). Despite Dave Lombardo's return in Slayer in 2001, Grip Inc released a fourth album in 2004.
Since then, Sorychta founded Eyes Of Eden and Enemy Of the Sun while Gus Chamber joined Squealer A.D.. On 16th August 2008, Gus Chambers joined Enemy Of The Sun on stage for an exclusive Grip Inc. oriented set In Bochum (Germany).
Unfortunately, Gus Chambers passed away on October 13, 2008 at the age of 52. Chambers, who resided in Coventry, England, reportedly took his own life.

Supporting temptation
Relentless conclusive seduction
MOving faster, fucked up tormented
Poverty bites, but comes in second
Needing now to
Taste the magic, with slave mentality
Blistering from self inflicted madness
Intolerant, sick of the bullshit
Cruising disgusted
Down roads of the fallen
Vulnerable, alluring a higher plain
Wounds only heal by looking deeper
Don't yield, find yourself
Reach inside to fink the truth
At the center of this spiral sedation
Strange purity lost in real nightmares
Accepting demise with slow torture
The lyrics of Grip Inc.'s song "War Between One" describe the inner conflict and despair of someone who is struggling with temptation and addiction. The person feels tormented by poverty and a slave mentality that drives them to seek out the addictive "magic" that offers temporary relief from their pain. However, in the end, they find that their addiction leads only to self-inflicted madness and a loss of the strange purity they once possessed. The lyrics tell the listener not to yield to temptation, but to reach inside themselves to find the truth and avoid a slow torture of self-destruction.
The imagery of the song is powerful and descriptive, painting a vivid picture of the struggle with addiction and the toll it takes on a person's psyche. The metaphor of a spiral sedation represents the cycle of addiction and the way it can pull a person deeper and deeper into despair. The lyrics also convey a sense of hopelessness and loss of control, as the person struggles to resist the temptation that has taken hold of them.
