Wonder if it would be easier for us, lefties, to hold our leaders to lower standards. Like they do it on the right.
Then, these aparent flaws wouldnt be that big of a deal. Instead, for example - now, when i think of her husband - Richard Wolff - first things that come to my mind are not his wonderful lectures or incredible work, but two instances when in this year he failed misearably trying to reach out to differe t communities.
1 - was the case of being used by right wing grifter Jimmy Dore in his antivax - antimandate propaganda.
Second time it was his ego getting the better of him when he decided that he will be better in online debate format than that little sh1t Destiny, who does debates for a living.
We are all human, thus we blunder.
Some blunders though are bigger than others. And if I can easily excuse prof Wolff for his failed debate, being used as a pawn in antivax propaganda - isnt a good look and shows some major problems.
Same Goes for dr fraad. Whereas i can understand the naive pleas of uniting working class people (she is one step away from mitical red-brown alliance in that messaging). I blame it on her not understanding how far gone are most of the MAGA worshipers. But I believe that she and her husband are actually doing decent work of deprograming Trumpists and showing alternative ways than MAGA fascism.
But then when she touches russia - ukraine conflict, there is so much Kremlin BS that she repeats, that it makes me second guess her entire reasoning skills and held values.
Cause you see, I am a Pole, living next to russia. As a lefty living here i can really understand and sympatize with a leftist finish prime minister Sanna Marin and her stances on NATO, and Ukraine. I really do not get this isolationist approach from American leftists though. Maybe it is because your country did a lot of evil around the world, and your track record isnt great when it comes to foreign Policy, thus American leftist cheer for US oposition abroad. But this war in ukraine for me is quite Black and white, with only a slight touch of grey. This conflict is ongoing for years now, with Putin escalating it every now and then. I really do not get why so many US leftist want ukraine to fail. Cause esentially this is what they advocate for when they want to partition it, or disarm it. Rewarding Putin for bad behavior only encourages him. Donbas happened because Crimea was so Easy.
(Not talking about real motives - carbon and hydrocarbons).
I am rambling. Left is best. But be better in US and use that leftist trait of empathy for your russian and ukrainian leftist brothers, as believe me, they surely do not want putin to succeed. That plea isnt directed at you, as you properly labeled her views, but maybe at David, if he reads this.
He keeps on platforming these anti-ukrainian shills and creeps and keeps pretending that they are unbias experts. Shameful for a show i held in high regard (inb4 someone mentions Jackie the jokeman).

52:48 Thom Hartmann on Mon or Tues gave different historical info, like the law being from the 1800s. He's definitely not always correct but he's definitely way more often correct than you. I know your heart is in the right place, but you often give pretty inaccurate information.

If you're able, Thom hartmann's daily show can be listened to at 2x or 1.5 times speed. Maybe consider figuring out a way to be mutual guests on each others shows for a short segment.
