Saw Gullivers People sing this at Sandown, Isle of Wight when they released it. I liked it very much at the time and surprised it was not a hit. Not being played by the major pirate stations London & Caroline probably had a lot to do with its failure. Nevertheless, still one of my favourite songs. (And I still live in Sandown !!)

Agree with your comments - one of my favourites from age 17. Also worth listening on YT to the version by The Boys, who were a 1960s New York girl band. Presumably you've got used to finding your way around Sandown by now!
