Thank you very much for this short documentary of Indentured in Guyana. I am pleased you also mentioned about Chinese from China , and Portuguese from Portugal, besides the Afro Guyanese. Our country is a beautiful diversed mix of religions, cultures, history, cuisines of different ethnic makeup which makes Guyana a unique country blessed with natural resources.
The Dutch were there before the English but we also have our Indigenous people who used to and still live in the Rainforest Regions .
The atrocities metted out by our forefathers and mothers by the Imperial English were a lot to fathom with but GOD IS OUR LOVE...GOD IS JUSTICE....GOD LOVES EVERYONE.
@amazonwarrior7126
you did not mention whites ? how did they get here? Also how did the whites get to Argentia?

Their suffering made our Guyana more prosperous...and opened doors of opportunity for future generations. Through God and our love will be in our recognising their suffering and this beautiful land, and enriched with different cultures that have shaped us. They made Guyana ours by their blood sweat and tears 🙏💟 Our opportunities that they paved the way for. Amen Lord 💚. And my prayers to all our Guyanese brothers and sisters out there and our families we've suffered the sad loss of, who are laid to rest in Guyana. 🙏💟💟💟💜💜

Massive admiration and love for the Hindu faith.
The oldest practices religion which has overcome all challenges and not only has it survived but it also thrives today!
@livinghope1561
Lol most Indians in Guyana are Christians... what r u talking about??? To say that Hinduism was the oldest practicing religion is a lie from hellfire... basic research would say that Hindu was and never had been oldest religion. Most of Hindu culture is a myth and nothing else search for truth...... hopeless
@kilowatt6209
Never was meant to be a religion. Hinduism and the Vedas were and still are a way of life. It got it's "religion" tag along the way.

Guyana isn't the only country. Fiji Islands and many other former British colonies have the same history. When India was a British colony, they took Indians to work in Sugar Cane farms all over the world, including Queensland in Australia, Fiji, Guyana, Trinidad etc. These were mostly North Indians from UP and Bihar but later followed by South Indians, Punjabis and Gujaratis. My ancestors came from Haryana to the Fiji Islands 130 years ago but like most Fiji Indians, we migrated to Australia and New Zealand after the anti-indian coups in 1987. Today most Fiji Indians live in Australia, New Zealand, Canada and USA with some in UK etc.
@awesomestevie27
It’s also the same in North America with Canada The Us and Mexico but mostly by Sikhs until the 70s-80s where Indians started migrating too
It’s why The majority of British Columbia has Panjabi as the second most spoken language, and a majority of GTA, Alberta and the rest of British Columbia having it as the 3rd most spoken language in the area
