In 1993, the band released their first single, Rising High. The track was extensively played in clubs and sold over 10,000 copies without a video or any advertising whatsoever.
The band rose to fame with their successful first album Time To Move, released in 1994. Part of this success was due to MTV and their repeated airplay of the videos for the "Risin' High" and "Move" singles. H-Blockx earned a nomination for "Best Breakthrough Artist" at the following MTV music awards (but lost to Dog Eat Dog). With the help of the singles "Risin' High", "Move", and "Little Girl" their debut album spent 62 weeks in the German album chart, selling over 750,000 copies worldwide, and earning the band their first gold album.
H-Blockx is still active to this day and are regularly releasing new albums, though none of them have caught the public or MTV's eye like "Time To Move" did. However, they had a minor hit in 2002 with a cover of Snap!'s "The Power".

Fight The Force
H-Blockx Lyrics
Jump to: Overall Meaning ↴ Line by Line Meaning ↴
But they huntdown, break him down, society has made a new force,
But it's not new but old, cause the force thinks of a superior race
They wanted back then, but now these fuckers want to break all the necks
Of strangers and those who fled from fears to find peace,
They never have had, we got but the force is tryin to stop,
so they go out and bust heads and freedom, peace and democracy,
Chorus:
Fight the force, yeah, you gotta fight the force, fight the force!
No matter colour or race, the problem lies behind their own face,
On their minds there's just hate, their fate is life for the human race
So fight any chance for the force to expand and vastly enhance,
Their hatred inside against the outside, outside, outside
Politicians, you too, out go and reign and find us a clue
To stop the drama we got but the force is not tryin to stop
so don't close your eyes, take a stand fight the force and all their lies
Chorus
So strike back the force, go out and stop their brutality course,
If not, then there's terror, freedom and peace is seen no more
Cause they don't just bust heads, but freedom peace and democracy
So don't close your eyes, take a stand fight the force and all their lies
Chorus
The lyrics to "Fight The Force" by H-Blockx speak about the problem of racism and hatred in society, particularly towards people of color. Through the use of vivid and powerful imagery, the song portrays the fear and suffering that comes with racism. The first few lines describe a scene where a black man is shot and lying on the ground, crying out in fear. The society depicted in the song is one that has created a new force that thinks of itself as superior, and wants to harm or even kill those who are different from them.
The song urges listeners to take a stand against this force, regardless of their color or race. It calls on politicians to find a way to stop the violence and hate that has taken over society. The song's chorus, "Fight the force," serves as a rallying cry against racism and violence. The lyrics emphasize that it is only by standing together and taking action against the force of hate that we can ensure freedom, peace, and democracy for all.
