H-Town is an American R&B hip hop band that was formed in 1992 by three friends at Jack Yates High School in Houston, Texas. The group originally consisted of: Kevin "Dino" Conner, his fraternal twin brother Solomon "Shazam" Conner, and their long-time friend Darryl "G.I." Jackson. They took the name of the group, "H-Town," from the local nickname for the City of Houston.
It took H-Town six years before their first big break came. Dino and Shazam grew up surrounded by musicians and singers. All three band members went to pageants, talent shows and plays before they worked with a local producer. When they began to work with him, he sent their tape to Luther Campbell, who wasn't overly impressed.
The producer intentionally made Campbell miss a flight and dragged him back to the studio where he heard H-Town sing live. Campbell signed the group, joined up with producer Bishop "Stick" Burrell, and they went into the studio to start work on their debut album, Fever for Da Flavor.
On January 28, 2003, 28-year-old Dino Conner and his girlfriend Teshya Rae Weisent had just left a recording studio when their vehicle was struck by a SUV that ran a red light. Both Dino and Teshya Weisent were killed.
Three people witnessed the tragedy, but all fled the scene. One man, Juan Diaz, was later apprehended.
At the time, H-Town was working on what would become their fourth album.
H-Town finally released their reunion album, Imitations of Life, on October 12, 2004. The Remaining members of the group are in the works of making a H-Town Comeback album very soon, it is confirmed on their MySpace page.

Jezebel
Searching for us a Heaven,
Catching HELL on Earth,
Trying to find someone to love her,
The lust in me stand up,
now she got a baby,
Trying to support child and keep her head
above the water,
Turned to the system,
the system turned her away,
Now the girl is afraid of dying or catching H.I.V.,
but what is she to do from the prostituting,
Gotta support the child to keep it up on my part,
Yeah
It's a lonely night, (tryna find the mornin')
In a cold cold world, (just to have her kid lonely)
It's a lonely night, (tryna find yourself)
In this manly world, (now baby)
Girl keep your head up, (mmmmhmmm)
It's a lonely night, (tryna find the mornin')
In a cold cold world, (to have her kid and want it)
It's a lonely night, (tryna find yourself ef)
In this manly world, (baby hey hey hey yeah)
Girl keep your head up.
Starting to make some money from the prostitution

The song "Jezebel" by H-Town is a heartfelt ballad about a woman who is struggling to overcome the hardships and repercussions of her choices. The lyrics describe her journey from searching for love and happiness to becoming a prostitute to support her children. The song starts with the lines "Searching for us a Heaven, Catching HELL on Earth, Trying to find someone to love her, The lust in me stand up," which convey the desperation and loneliness of the woman. She turns to prostitution to support her kids and is then rejected by the system when she tries to seek help. The woman is afraid of death and disease but has to continue with prostitution to provide for her children. The song ends with the message that the woman must keep her head up and believe in herself to overcome the difficulties.
The song has been appreciated for its emotional depth and empathetic approach towards the struggles of a woman. It has been interpreted as a criticism of the societal structures that do not provide adequate support to women facing such situations. The lyrics have inspired people to empathize with and support those facing similar hardships.
