Listen to nothing but our fears
Hop to the sound of our own run speed
Oh we locked ourselves away and tied up the beast
But we're only waiting for the moment to break free
Can you hear my heart howl at the sky?
It's the wolf that I keep deep inside
I've been holding back but tonight
Tonight we run wild
Tonight we run wild
Tonight we run wild
Tonight we run wild
There is no deny in what we're made of
See how your eyes reflect the moon
Feel how your instincts become blurred to love
Oh 'cause you can try your best to keep in the crown
But it's only waiting for the moment to break out
Can you hear my heart howl at the sky?
It's the wolf that I keep deep inside
I've been holding back but tonight
Tonight we run wild!
Can you hear my heart howl at the sky?
It's the wolf that I keep deep inside
I've been holding back but tonight
Tonight we run wild
Tonight we run wild
Tonight we run wild
The opening lines of the song "Run Wild" by Hardwell reminisce about a time when the singer and their compatriots were unrestrained by societal norms and only followed their own instincts. The verse "Listen to nothing but our fears, Hop to the sound of our own run speed" indicates a time when the singer and company were wild and free in their actions. The lyrics then shift to the present, where the singer and their compatriots have been subdued and shackled by the confines of society, but the beast inside is itching to break free. The phrase 'It's the wolf that I keep deep inside' suggests that the singer is referring to an untamed aspect of themselves that they have been attempting to suppress. The second verse then describes the difficulty they face in trying to restrain this instinctive and wild aspect of themselves, "Feel how your instincts become blurred to love, Oh ‘cause you can try your best to keep in the crown But it’s only waiting for the moment to break out"
The chorus, "Can you hear my heart howl at the sky? It's the wolf that I keep deep inside, I've been holding back but tonight, Tonight we run wild," captures the essence of the song, with the singer yearning to shake away from societal constraints and release their animalistic side. It conveys the idea that it is time to let go of the forces controlling them and return to a time of free spiritedness by letting their instincts take over.
Overall, "Run Wild" is a song that encourages a release from societal and personal restraints, launching oneself free from any limits, and evokes a strong emotional response.

This is one of my favorite driving songs.
At around 1:03 it slowly starts to build, that's when you check your surroundings for cops.
At 1:20 you get an instant adrenaline rush as you downshift starting to build boost.
At 1:30 you floor it and you will really feel what freedom is!!! 8D
