Heather Myles gets her musical inspiration from a background that is as diverse as the artist herself. Growing up on a ranch in Southern California, Heather was immersed in the sounds of country music radio at a time when legends were being born. The voices of Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Waylon Jennings, and Hank Williams all played a large part influencing Heather as a songwriter and an outstanding performer. Additionally, it was the sound of her dad's ukulele and grandpa's old Scottish bagpipes that have been responsible for shaping her into the artist she is today.
Heather's family, originally from Scotland, settled in Canada and eventually migrated to Southern California where they operated a ranch specializing in the breeding and training of racehorses. As a child, Heather always thought she would follow in the family business and even considered becoming a jockey. However, an extraordinary talent for music and her powerful voice would soon lead Heather to a much different track.
Now, after four CDs and several years touring the world, playing honky-tonks and opening shows for Charlie Daniels, Merle Haggard, and Waylon Jennings, Heather is poised for stardom and ready to take her place on the main stage of Country and American music.

Never thought you'd leave me here, well now the rain's a-comin' down.
I'd cross an endless ocean to prove my love.
Cause you're the only one I'm thinkin' of.
Oooh, ooh, baby.
Oooh, ooh, when you coming home to me?
Oooh, I need you, baby.
No more lovin' in the mornin' like we used.
Followed by a cigarette.
A little brandy in my coffee now,
Helps me swallow my regret.
Oooh, ooh, baby.
Oooh, ooh, when you coming home to me?
Oooh, ooh, I need you, baby.
When you coming back, coming back to me?
Now I think of my mistakes I've made,
Never told you that I loved you, babe. (You never told me.)
Give me a moment just to talk to you,
I'll make you want me like you used to, baby.
Oooh, ooh, baby.
Oooh, ooh, when you coming home to me, yeah?
Oooh, ooh, I need you, baby.
When you coming back, coming back to me? (When you coming?)
Oooh, ooh, baby.
Oooh, ooh, when you coming home to me.
Oooh, ooh, I need you, baby.
When you coming back, coming back to me?
(When you coming back?)
(Coming back.)
(Coming back to me?)
The song "Coming Back to Me" by Heather Myles speaks of an individual who didn't realize the importance of their partner until they left, and now they long for their return. The first verse talks about how the person never thought they'd need their love interest as much as they do now, and how they didn't expect to be left alone in the rain. The singer is willing to go to any length to show their love, as they're consumed by thoughts of their partner.
In the second verse, the singer reflects on the changes in their routine and how they now have a little brandy in their coffee to cope with their sorrow. The chorus repeats the longing for their partner to come back, and towards the end of the song, the singer acknowledges their mistakes and expresses regret for not expressing their love or appreciation, promising to make the person want them again.
Overall, the song is a classic example of how love can blind us and how we often take our loved ones for granted. It emphasizes the importance of expressing love, affection, and gratitude to those we value before it's too late.
