Henry Mancini Lyrics

I'm dreaming you, just we two alone
In love in Dreamsville, time is new
We're here to love and we do
We can see the rest of the world
Below us from our pink cloud
There's no boundary to this magic light
As we go exploring hand in hand
In dreamy Dreamsville
Far away and here we love
Here we stay

Great memories from a kid of the 60's.

Inimitable! Will miss you every day but so grateful I have your albums, YouTube and my forever memories of falling in love with your music. He's know the scamp mischievous practical joker you were and who could forget the Peter Gunn show, Mr lucky and your music. Let's "Two For The Road," Hank.

Not only was "Hank" Mancini a wonderful musical artist, he was also a huge, generous philanthropist - he and his wife Ginny helped many a performer, out on the coast, stranded, and hard up. He was something else...I remember him with great affection, and not just for his music!!
@dianalee3059
Indeed. Ginny founded The Society of Singers the helpful group you referred to.

Here I am, some 52 years after hearing this track for the first time, still listening and marveling at the superb composition and arrangement from the master himself - Henry Mancini. This music describes an era of American culture when musical beauty was defined in a very different way. Again, thank you for posting and sharing.

Chip, Every time I listen to this track, I can remember watching Peter Gunn on Monday evenings at 9 P.M. [on NBC] and hearing this composition of beauty being played as background music.

Well - and I must say, diplomatically - put re: American culture. Sublime Mancini. Now, I'm going over to listen to Sue Raney's vocal with Mancini conducting!
