Herbie Mann was born in Brooklyn, New York. Early in his career, he played saxophone and clarinet, but Mann was among the first jazz musicians to specialize on the flute and was perhaps jazz music's preminent flautist during the 1960s.

Larry's solo is incredible……I started playing in '64, remember this like it was yesterday from '69….
Glenn Michael Thompson
Great solo by a young Larry Coryell on guitar. Sonny Sharrock was also on this album, he tears it up on the 2nd guitar solo!
Marc Fabian Erdl
He tears everything up. Including Larry Coryell's solo.

Tight as a damn tick! Maybe tighter. A lot of people are talking about how tight he was. So tight!!! I'm getting all itchy just thinking about it.

Arin...Funny thing is...I just got home and turned the radio....I hear a tiny part of this song played as bumper music for some late night talk show....I think..."Oh Yeah....that's Herbie Mann"!
I go to U Tube and look up this song, and now it's 4:30 am and I'm grooving to Hold I'm Coming!!
And yes, Herbie's solo.....Rocks!

Herbie and the gang are AMAZING!
